Twitter Is Losing The Majority Of Its Most Active Users!

It was in April that a controversial statement was given by Elon Musk concerning the existence of Twitter. According to him, Twitter was dying. This statement was released by him just days before he purchased the social media platform.

But today, this statement holds a lot of relevance. It is in light of the discovery of the internal documents that a conclusion similar to this can be deduced. This discovery has been unraveled by Reuters, the leading organization of researchers.

Twitter Is Losing Most Active Users, Internal Documents Show!

According to the research, Twitter struggles to retain the most active users. These active users are essential for the growth of the business. But over some time, Twitter has experienced a considerable loss in the active engagement of users.

Twitter Is Losing Most Active Users, Internal Documents Show!

Which is not a good sign concerning the platform’s future growth. The Loss Of users also poses a very Grave challenge to Tesla, which is all set to execute the 44 billion dollar deal to buy Twitter.  According to the information collected so far;

It is estimated that around 10% of the users are very active on Twitter. They are responsible for generating around 90% of the revenue. But after the pandemic, the percentage of these active users has declined from 10% to 7%.

It is a very heavy loss for Twitter to witness for the time being. Researchers are now studying this absolute decline in the number of users to understand the cause behind this behavior.

What Is The Role Of Heavy Tweeters In The Growth Of Revenue On Twitter?

A Heavy Twitter user is usually a person who is active throughout the day on Twitter and logs into his account seven to eight times a week. He is also responsible for tweeting around 5 to 6 times a week.

While analyzing the decision to purchase Twitter, Elon Musk himself discovered that the most operational accounts on Twitter have not been active for a very long period, and even if they have been active, the tendency to tweet has been reduced over two years.

The exact reason why the shift is taking place is not known for the time being. Research is being undertaken to understand the shift in the users’ interests and how Twitter can be updated to accommodate these new interests over time.

Purpose Of The Research

No company would be willing to invest in an enterprise that is losing its principal revenue source. The engagement offered by the users and how different users tweet is a very important source of revenue generation for Twitter.

All of the changes that have been reported happened after the pandemic. This means that the platform of Twitter is no longer the most effective channel of communication. The growth of false news and fake media.

Twitter has also been responsible for the decreasing interest of users over time. The actions were taken by Twitter to block the accounts of all the users who made controversial tweets have also been responsible for reducing the active participation of the users.

A recent survey undertaken to discuss the popularity of Twitter disclosed that users no longer think it is an effective platform for promoting and exchanging free speech. The shift in the language preference on Twitter is also contributing to reduced participation.

These are only the basic factors based on which a conclusion is drawn. But the exact reason is yet to be known. Early determination of these issues would be helpful to safeguard Twitter as oily as possible so that the revenue is not reduced below a certain level.

Twitter has always been the most used platform on social media. The company executives are trying their best to restore this platform to its Glory, which it enjoyed years ago. It was in the year 2021 that an informal report was cited to inform that most people are now uninstalling Twitter.

Going to the restrictions and unnecessary limitations. Twitter needs to change its policies as soon as possible so that the company’s long-term growth and even its market survival are not affected.

Conclusion

It can be concluded that the approach that the company would be able to take at this point will have a long-term effect on the profitability and survival of the company. All the stakeholders must actively participate in making these policy decisions happen.

It will be actually helpful for revising the company and increasing the participation of the active users over the period of time once again. It is all essential to get determined in the minimum amount of time.

So that future partnerships and the takeovers of the company could be decided.
