The title of Miss Venezuela 2022 has been bestowed upon Diana Silva. The 70th edition of the beauty pageant was held on November 16, 2018, and it was during this competition that a young woman from Venezuela who will go on to represent her country at Miss Universe 2023 was selected.
There were 24 contestants vying for the prize that had been anticipated for so long. The ceremony was held in the Poliedro de Caracas and was led by Maite Delgado, Luis Olavarrieta, Henrys Silva, and José Andrés Padrón. Andrea Valentina Rubio came in second place, and Daniela Malavé came in third.
After eight years, the competition was being held in a Venevisión television studio with a limited budget. Venevisión is a regional channel that has been broadcasting the traditional competition since it was first held.
In a room that had a capacity of approximately 7,000 people but could have held approximately 20,000 people, a total of 24 candidates were presented, 23 of them represented states across the country and the last one represented the District of Columbia.
