Mama June Shannon and Justin Stroud rang wedding bells by getting married for a second time.
The couple had united in marriage vows around one year earlier. The first marriage was a secret courthouse wedding.
The first marriage took place in Georgia while the second was in Florida.
Mama June Shannon, the happy bride, said that the occasion of the second wedding was the first time all of her family had been together since 2014. She continued that she felt special to get married in a place where her family has had so many memories.
The four daughters of Mama June Shannon walked her down the aisle. Her eldest daughter is the 28-year-old Anna Cardwell and her youngest daughter is the 17-year-old Alana Honey Boo Boo Thompson. The middle ones are the 26-year-old Jessica Shannon and the 23-year-old Lauryn Pumpkin Efird.
The bride walked in the middle of the daughters in the customary white. On her, both sides were her daughters wearing dark blue gowns.
The groom Justin Stroud was accompanied by his mother to the altar.
Shannon said that they wanted to have a small and very intimate wedding, so they did not have any groomsmen or bridesmaids.
The first marriage of the newlywed was more smaller and intimate than this. It took place in a courthouse in Wilkinson County. Shannon had not informed the news of the wedding to her daughters, Efird and Thompson.
Efird was quite surprised to find out that her mother had gotten married without telling her. After the secret marriage, Efird stated that they were very shocked by the news.

Efird came across the news when she found a receipt of her mother’s marriage which proved that her mother had applied for a marriage certificate.
Thompson who was also left expressed similar feelings as she said that the news of her mother’s wedding took her by surprise.
The secret wedding topped the headlines of controversial news back in 2022. About her marriage, June Shannon said that it was kind of a spontaneous thing. She was the one who asked Justin’s hand in marriage. She asked the ladies to keep in mind that it was already 2022 and women could ask their man marry them as well.
The wedding took place at the SpringHill Suites and all family members of June were there to witness it.
The four daughters of June attended the wedding of their children. June’s grandchildren who were in attendance were her granddaughters Bentley, Stella, and Sylus.
June on her big day chose to wear a white wedding gown from David’s Bridal. Stroud wore a tuxedo from E&S Formal in Alabama state and accessorized his wedding look with Jordans.
After tying the knot the couple first danced to Ed Sheeran’s song Thinking Out Loud.
The couple cut a wedding cake together. There were also cupcakes of six different flavors arranged for the family and guests. The cakes were from the Cakes by Ricca in Panama City Beach.
Just before their marriage, the couple was rumored of getting engaged soon. What caused the rumors were the images that showed them shopping inside a jewelry store. June had responded to the engagement rumors by denying that.
She said that she already had a ring on her finger that she has been wearing for over nine years and there was no other ring. She added that Kay’s was her favorite jewelry store and she does not know whether that would change or not in the future would.
Efird knew the marriage took place when she received a letter in the mail from the Georgia courthouse. Although she was surprised she did not react to it at all.
She thought her mother would tell her and aired for that to happen. She said that she expected June would walk up to them and would say she went up and got married. Later she and Thompson congratulated their mother on her marriage, but June denied the by saying that she didn’t get married.
Thompson said that she was not hurt by the fact that her mother got married without telling her. Rather she could not understand why June did that because the latter had always said that she would never get married.
And that even if she got married she would never go off and just get married to somebody.
Thompson said that June was scared of marriage but she got married to that guy who she met roughly a year ago.
Mama June said that she met Justin over TikTok and they just started to text and talk. She heard about him that he was a clout chaser but in her case, it was she who chased him. She added that she movies in with him when they first met. Even though both of them had their own separate homes, she moved in with him.
