The news about the death of Gordon Moore was confirmed by his company and the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation.
According to the information available, Moore died at his home in Hawaii on Friday. The information also stated that he was surrounded by his family during the time of his death.
Gordon Earle Moore is seen as one of the pioneers in the field of the development of integrated circuits and chips of silicon which became one of the biggest building points for modern technological advancements.
While there was no doubt about his expertise in technology, Moore was also a very skillful businessman. The growth of his company Intel is not only based on the innovations created at the firm but also through his skillful leadership.
Moore was known for the risky decision that he took during his career as a successful businessman.

While he is credited with different accomplishments that he has achieved throughout his career like the founding of one of the biggest technological powerhouses of modern times.
Gordon Moore is most known for his prediction about the future of a number of components in a dense integrated circuit which is known as Moore’s Law. The observation about the possible change was said by Moore in an interview that he gave on August 19, 1965.
According to Gordon Moore, the number of components in a dense integrated circuit which included things like transistors, resistors, capacitors or diodes had doubled over the course of each year and he also predicted that the trend will continue to follow the pattern for at least the coming ten years.
While the first statement regarding the possible future was given by Moore who revised the statement in 1975 and received the forecast rate of around two years. This prediction by Gordon Moore had a massive impact on different areas of technological advances.
While is one of the founders of the microprocessor giant, Intel, he is most known for his prediction of Moore’s Law. It is interesting to know that Gordon Moore was also fascinated by the popularity that he received for his observation.
In one of his interviews, Moore stated that it was kind of funny that Moore’s Law is what he is best known for. Moore said that it was just a simple observation.
