Gervonta Davis has held the title for WBA (Regular) lightweight title since 2019. He is also the title holder of the IBF super featherweight in 2017 and the WBA (Regular) super lightweight title in 2021.
The boxer had been making headlines now, but not for any feat he achieved in the ring. According to the reports available, Davis had been arrested on Tuesday in Parkland, Florida on the grounds of domestic violence charge of battery causing bodily harm.
The reports are based on information from the Broward County Sheriff’s Office records. Davis had been in custody in Fort Lauderdale and he is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.

Just like most celebrities, Davis is also part of his share of legal issues and controversies. Reports about multiple such incidents are available to us. One of the most recent ones is his arrest on the basis of domestic violence which happened last Tuesday.
