4. If your Nespresso is still blinking, then there is a possibility that your machine is in a descaling mode. To turn it off, you are required to hold the button straight for the next 7 seconds.

Orange Light Blinks Five Times Every 10 Seconds 

There is a rather simple method to get your Nespresso back to life when you spot your machine literally blinking five times over 10 seconds. 

1. You shall remove the used capsule.
2. Leave the lever Unlocked.
3. Press the Lungo button 5 times in 3 seconds to bring your Nespresso to factory settings so that you can do a factory reset. 

Orange Light Blinking Thrice Every Second

When you notice your Nespresso blinking thrice per second, then you should immediately consider descaling. Otherwise, it will affect the overall functioning and quality of your daily coffee. 

1. Take out the used capsule.
2. Remove the drip tray and clean it with lukewarm water.
3. Mix 17 ounces of water with one unit of Nespresso descaling solution in the water tank.
4. Make sure to keep a container of 34 ounces beneath the coffee spout.
5. Turn on your machine, leaving the lever unlocked.
6. Press the button for 7 seconds to turn on the descaling mode. (Unlike the cleaning program, you cannot pause its functioning in the middle while descaling. Once paused/ turned off, descaling will start all over again when you turn your machine back on). 
7. Now, you can see the lights blinking, once after that, you should start the descaling process in the next 45 seconds.
8. To start descaling, let the lever be closed and press the button once.
9. When the process is completed, you can simply take out the water tank, clean it and also remove the cup support and drip tray. 
10. Refill the water tank as usual.
11. Rinse your Nespresso by pressing the machine and letting it dry for at least 10 minutes. 

Light Blinking Both Orange and White Thrice 

It is another indication of descaling. But this time, you cannot wait until you get enough time. The white light only comes when there is an emergency alert. It only appears when you have missed multiple descaling schedules.

Orange Light Blinks for 1.5 Seconds and Shortly Off for 0.5 Seconds 

Your machine takes this move to let you know that it has insufficient water to brew you a fresh cup of coffee. Fixing this particular case is a doddle. 

1. Remove the water tank and make sure there is no build-up formed. If yes, then rinse with hot water. 
2. Refill it with cold water and place it back in position.
