Actor Dwayne Johnson claims Warner Bros. Discovery initially didn’t want Henry Cavill to reprise his Superman role in the newly released DC movie “Black Adam.”
Dwayne Johnson, who plays “Black Adam”, recently uploaded a video on Twitter in which he discussed how the DC universe has evolved and how he strongly disagreed with Warner Bros.’ choice to exclude Henry Cavill and Superman from the DC Extended Universe.
The video posted by the DC superhero claimed that he planned to make Black Adam “the most powerful, unstoppable force in the DC world.” He also remarked that “we have to bring back the most powerful, unstoppable force of all time in any universe.” to manage the latter. “ And you guys know who I’m talking about? Of course, that is Superman. And that’s Henry Cavill,” he added.
In the “Black Adam” credits scene, Johnson and Cavill’s Superman appeared alongside one another.
Regarding bringing Cavill’s Superman back, Johnson said, “we fought years to bring you back.” “They always said no. However “no ” was never an option for Dany Garcia and Hiram Garcia [producers of Black Adam], and myself. Without the greatest hero of all time, it would be impossible to thoughtfully and deliberately expand our DC universe. Because for us the fans always come first.” he added.
Black Adam Star stated that “ it all comes back to where Superman you have to have Superman in the mix. So that’s why he fought hard to bring Superman back, Henry Cavill, and there was no other Superman, by the way, to bring back Henry Cavill is our generation’s Superman and in my opinion, the greatest Superman. And I mean that respectfully to the other actors, especially Christopher Reeve, but the greatest Superman of all time.”
The studio “ inexplicably and inexcusably” did not want to bring Cavil back, Johnson continued, but he was not going to take no for an answer, and his crew set to work.
Followed by the release of the movie Johnson claimed that now that Cavill is back in the DC universe, they can finally build up the DC universe properly, strategically, and thoughtfully. The power in the DC Universe has shifted and, of course, now they have new leadership at DC and Warner Bros
Cavill announced his comeback as Superman on Instagram after the opening weekend of “ Black Adam,” writing to fans, “I wanted to make it official: I am back as Superman… Thank you for the support and Thank you for your patience. I promise it will be rewarded.”
Dwayne Johnson frequently discussed the future of his character, Henry Cavill’s Superman’ and their ambitious plans when Black Adam was amid promotion.
Black Adam’s success in theatres and on iTunes is being celebrated by Dwayne Johnson. As everyone is aware, Johnson worked hard for Henry Cavill to appear as Superman even though Warner Bros. wasn’t all that interested in having the actor return.
After this cameo made by Henry Cavill as Superman, he stated that “this was just a very small taste of things to come.” This statement by him may have been believed by certain people that Cavill plays Superman again in the DC TV series. And it led to many rumors which were reacted to by James Gunn the new CEO of DC Universe a few days back.
After his projected appearance in “Shazam!” Cavill was not scheduled to appear in any more Superman films in 2018. Even after accepting the lead part in Netflix’s “The Witcher”, he never gave up, saying in interviews that “the cape is still in the closet.”The upcoming movies of Henry Cavill are “The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare,” “Enola Holmes, and Argyll.
“Black Adam,” the movie in which Henry Cavill has returned as Superman was released on 20th October. Being in theatres for one month “Black Adam” has finally crossed “Shazam!” At the worldwide box office.
