The territorial police at Wandegeya in Kampala have arrested six individuals following the death of Rogers Atuhaire, who worked as a private security guard for SGA Security Group.

The arrest of the six individuals made by the police is expected to help the officials in the investigation of the death of Atuhaire. Rogers Atuhaire allegedly shot himself early in the morning and his dead body was found at the Mukwasi building along Lumumba Avenue.

ASP Luke Owoyesigyire who is the spokesperson for the Kampala Metropolitan Police deputy spokesperson confirmed the news regarding the death of Rogers and also stated that he was deployed as a guard for the site just two days before the tragic event.

The details revealed by ASP Luke Owoyesigyire confirmed that Rogers was deployed as a guard at the site where his body was found, just two days ago.

The details also mention that the dead body of Rogers was found by David Okudu, who was the daytime guard and he found Rogers when he arrived at the site to take over the duty from Rogers.

The details revealed by the ASP also mention that the daytime guard David reported hearing guns being cocked but he ignored it being an alarming sign and assumed it was just a safety precaution.

The daytime guard who arrived at the site to take over the duty from Rogers reported hearing a gun cocking but assumed that it was just a safety precaution. But David arrived at the site to find Rogers in a pool of blood.

He also reported that a bullet injury was found on his throat of Rogers and wounds on his head suggested that the bullet penetrated through his head.

The police also revealed that Rogers was working alongside Mary Namumanya during the night of the tragic event and that along with his working partner, the police made six arrests, hoping that it will help the officers in investigating the death of Rogers.

The officer has conducted the routine procedures of the investigation and they have also collected the statements of different witnesses and also have recovered relevant exhibits. The officers also announced that the details and updates of the case will be made public as the investigation progresses.

While this may sound like a normal case, what is shocking to note is that the death of Rogers Atuhaire is the fourth death of a security guard in the last five days. The case of gun violence and shooting has been disturbing the country for the past few days and the police are currently doing everything that they can to put an end to this.

In one similar case, another security guard was just arrested a day before the incident involving Rogers. In this case, a security guard who is associated with another private firm in the country was arrested after he allegedly shot and killed another security guard whom he used to work with.

The tragic incident took place in the Tororo District in Eastern Uganda. The name of the deceased security guard was John Okudi and he was just 27 years old at the time of his death. He was attached to Saracen (U) Ltd and he was allegedly shot by his colleague Moses Okedi.

Even though the actual reason behind the shooting is not clear, it is assumed that the reason was a disagreement on some matter. The shooting took place in Tororo Municipality where both the security guards were deployed.

Just two days prior to the death of John Okudi, another similar event occurred in Kalule Zone, Lukuli Parish of Makindye Division. In the reported event, a security guard who is attached to another private firm was allegedly shot dead by one of his colleagues in a rented house in the location mentioned above.

John Mujumbi, a 25-year-old security guard who was attached to the company Capital Guard and Patrol was the name who was reported dead and the person who is believed to be the reason behind his death is another security guard of the same firm named Peter Ochoroi. He is 26 years old.

Peter Ochoroi is also the roommate of the deceased John Mujumbi. The reason behind the shooting is also cited to be some kind of disagreement between the colleagues and the event took place around 12:30 pm on Saturday. They both were employed at the same company and the room that they both shared was also provided by their employer.

As much as it is shocking and frightening, another incident of the same nature was also reported to the officials. Ben Amaku was a security guard who used to work for the company Security Group Africa Company Ltd. On the same day as the death of John Mujumbi, Ben Amaku was also reportedly shot dead.

What is even more frightening is the fact that the person responsible for the death of Ben Amaku is still unknown.

The reports available from the police department say that the shooting took place around 1:50 am and the location where the event happened was Novafina medical center which is located along Rhino Camp Road in Baruku central cell.
