The name Nick Szabo is a prominent one in the field of digital contracts and digital currency. Nick was the man behind the concept of ‘smart contract.’ He started working on the idea in the 90s and by 1994, Nick had written an introduction about the concept.

Upon completing formal high school education Szabo joined the University of Washington and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in computer science in 1989. Nick also holds a Juris Doctor degree from the George Washington University Law School.
Nick Szabo was associated with cryptocurrency and is credited with the development of ‘Bit Gold.’ Bit Gold is a mechanism for a decentralized digital currency. Even though bit Gold did not catch on, the idea is seen as the precursor of Bitcoin architecture.

The name Satoshi Nakamoto was used by the person or persons who developed the concept of bitcoin. There had been many speculations about the true identity of Nakamoto, but it is still unknown.
There is a list of people who are suspected to be Nakamoto, which mainly includes software experts or cryptography experts mainly from the United States or Europe.

One of the main events that prompted people to arrive at this conclusion is the comment that Nick posted on his blog. In 2008, Nick posted that he wished to take this idea of Bit Gold and create a live version of his currency.
