Irene Gakwa, a 32-year-old Kenyan woman was supposed to be home in Kenya for Christmas. She has disappeared in the US without leaving any trace.
The vanishing of Irene Gakwa remains a mystery for everyone. Her friends, neighbors, and family are concerned about the mystery of her missing and they are wondering what happened to Irene suddenly.
The family doesn’t know about her whereabouts for the past 304 days and they are still hoping to see their daughter. Francis Kambo, Irene’s father, was hoping to see his daughter this Christmas. But he hadn’t the fate to see her.
There are investigations regarding her missing, but, nothing has been found yet. Her father Kambo is arguing that those who know about his daughter’s whereabouts are keeping silent. He wrote on his Facebook page that no information is going to get about his daughter.
Kambo created the page as a way of helping to trace his daughter Irene.
Kambo is concerned about several issues, including the way the investigators handled Nathan Hightman, Irene’s boyfriend, who was the last person to see her.
Kambo also expressed his concern by asking if the investigators were not asking Hightman, what was he burning in the metal drum and he asked why they were not cracking his cell phone and why they were not tracking the GPS of his car. According to Kambo, all this remains a concern and mystery.
This African family is attempting to get US organizations such as The Federal Bureau of Investigation to help find their daughter and simply solve the mystery.
Irene was a healthcare worker who moved to the USA in May 2019. She was moved to the US state of Idaho to join her brothers, Kennedy Wainaina and Chris Munga. She later moved with her friend to Idaho in September 2019.
According to the reports, she was in a relationship with Hightman. They met in a dating forum and were in love then. After being in the relationship she moved with Hightman.
Later her brothers came to know about this ratio of Irene and contacted Hightman. It was said that in reports, Hightman asked Wainaina that he wanted the approval of the brothers and family for their relationship and also for taking further big plans in that relationship.
Hightman was planning to propose to Irene and for that, he was reportedly brought an engagement ring.
Hightman was planning to give her the ring in front of her family. Hightman wrote the message to Wainaina aiming for all these plans and Wanaina told him back that don’t rush into things and to take things slowly.
As per the records, Irene’s brother Wanaina and Hightman exchanged messages on July 20, 2020.
In some ways, Wainaina was suspicious about Hightman’s deeds who was rushing into things with Irene.
Later, on 25 July 2020, Hightman wrote to Kennedy that if the brothers needed any proof or evidence about his commitment to Irene, he was ready to meet them in person and answer all their queries.
After this, the brothers and Hightman met about 10 times, but the brothers, Wainaina and Kennedy were still suspicious of Hightman.
Even if he answered all their questions, and tried to be very nice with them, they found it all confusing.
Although they had some confusion regarding Hightman, Wainaina told him that the one who needs to take the decision is their sister, not them. It’s her life and she needs to give the approval of going forward with this relationship.
According to Wainaina, Irene once came to his home after having an issue with Hightman in August 2020.
Irene used Hightman’s credit card to buy a ticket to Kenya, which made Hightman angry. Wainaina said for this reason Hightman had complained about this at the police station.
Later that year, Irene told her brother that she had moved to Phoenix, Arizona, alone, they assumed that she had broken up with Hightman. But she hadn’t though. She returned to Idaho in November 2021, continuing to maintain the lie, claiming to have flown from Phoenix.

They believe that Hightman drove her from the neighboring state of Wyoming, where the two were living. That’s when the brothers saw their sister for the last time. Irene and all her lies are still a mystery.
She last appeared in a video call with her parents in February this year. She was reported as missing in the month of March.
Hightman during the investigation said that Irene was fled by an unknown man in an SUV car with all her belongings. But this is not verified yet.
The family doesn’t believe the story of Hightman and they are arguing that there is something that Hightman is trying to hide.
The pretrial conference was rescheduled to January 4, 2023. And because of this extension, the family is frustrated. They are asking when will they get to know about Irene’s whereabouts if the trials keep extending.
The question of where Irene still remains a mystery. The Kambo family is having sleepless nights and they are frustrated and tired of not knowing the whereabouts of their daughter.
The Federal Bureau of Investigations is investigating the case and the family is in hope of finding Irene and having justice for them.
