Lisa Loring, the wife of pornstar Jerry Butler, was an American actress and a former child model. She is better known for playing the popular character Wednesday Addams in the comedy-horror sitcom “The Addams Family” in 1964 at an age of 6.
Lisa created the benchmark for the role with her awkwardness and unique body language. The sitcom was the foremost screen adaptation of Charles Addams’ comic strip titled the same. Lisa was an exact copy of Wednesday in the books of Charles. She was equally sweet and eccentric.

Since her parents had an early divorce, shortly after her birth, Lisa was raised by her momager Judith Lopring. After the split, she and her mother shifted to Los Angeles from Hawaii where she was born.
Lisa was quick in learning skills and therefore she mastered acting as a kid after taking acting roles before landing her landmark role. In 1964, the year in which she took her utmost decision to play Wednesday, she also appeared in the medical drama “Dr. Kildare”.
When Lisa received the offer to play Wednesday Addams, she was barely 6, and reportedly, it was her major regular role. She successfully completed 2 seasons, with the last episode in 1966.

Although Lisa Loring is famed for her top-tier acting as Wednesday, she is also famed for playing a noticeable part in David Levy’s short-lived sitcom “The Pruitts of Southampton” in 1966.
She was introduced as Wednesday Addams in 1964 and a little after a decade. In 1977, Lisa was once again cast as Wednesday in the hyped TV film “Halloween with the New Addams Family.”
In 1980, she was selected for the soap opera “As The World Turns,” where she played her second iconic character Margo Montgomery Hughes until 1984.
In 1987, the actress made her comeback after marriage with the slasher flick “Bloody Frenzy,” which was an early attempt by Hal Freeman to create a horror movie.
Basically, horror was Lisa’s niche genre as her acting was crisp and apt to such roles. In the same year, Lisa also co-wrote the pornographic film “Traci’s Big Trick,” but sadly, she was uncredited for it.
The next year, Lisa came up with her next best role in the slasher film “Iced” where she showcased her potential as a comic character. Lisa Loring’s Personal Life
Lisa Loring is a name that is widely popular in the Hollywood industry as well as the Hollywood actors. She has dated and married multiple actors including Doug Stevenson.
However, her first husband was Farrell Foumberg, whom she married at an age of 15 in 1973. They had their first child the very next year but ended up in divorce in 1974.
Several years later, Lisa married Doug Stevenson, the sought-after star Doug Stevenson, but neither their relationship lasted longer. The nuptial was in 1981 and they parted ways in 1983. She took a break for 5 years before coming back to acting.
In 1987, she went to become a part of the pornographic film Traci’s Big Trick which paved the way for her to build a deep collection with the porn star Jerry Butler.
They dated for a while and eventually ended up marrying. But her fate in relationships was neither any better with Butler. They also ended up in divorce in 1992 after having a tumultuous bond.
Lisa Loring’s Depression Journey
After having multiple failed marriages, Lisa went into a stage of depression in the early 90s. Her importance in the industry had also declined by then. Although she tried to self-medicate her poor condition, it only led her to worse.
She was the first one to discover her pal Kelly Van Dyke’s corpse, who had committed suicide. It bought major trauma to her and shortly after, she made suicide attempts.
But luckily, the rehab center saved her for a better future and she came back to the screen in the late 2000s.

Lisa Loring’s Death
Lisa Loring, who is commonly called the original Wednesday Addams, left for the worldly residence on January 28, 2023. After Jenna Ortega’s Wednesday was released, Lisa was also gaining tabloid attention, but her death was unfortunate in the middle. She was 64.
Lisa Loring’s death was revealed by her friend Laurie Jacobson on January 29, 2023, on Facebook. Reportedly, her passing was followed by a massive stroke which resulted in high blood pressure.
Although Lisa was immediately taken to the hospital, she had to stay on a life-supporting system for three days before she breathed her last.
Her family unanimously decided to remove the life support, which was equally hard for them as well as her admirers. She will always be remembered and cherished as “Wednesday Addams.”
