Crypto Enthusiasts React To Satoshi Nakamoto's 48th Birthday

Satoshi Nakamoto, the person who supposedly created Bitcoin, turned 48 today, according to the data recorded with the global network P2P Foundation.

Crypto enthusiasts noticed when Satoshi Nakamoto’s age increased by one year on their P2P Foundation profile.

According to their profile, their birth date is April 5, 1975. Even though the identity of the Bitcoin (BTC) creator and their birthday remain unknown to the public, crypto enthusiasts wished the anonymous founder a wonderful birthday.

Since Satoshi Nakamoto may represent an organization rather than a single person, crypto users have suggested that the date may have derived from the day in 1933.

It was when United States President Franklin Delano Roosevelt began the process of removing the nation from the gold standard by issuing an executive order requiring all citizens to return gold coins and gold certificates to the Federal Reserve.

As we already mentioned, the creator of the BTC is mainly known by the name Satoshi Nakamoto. Many users on social media and in online forums speculate about the real identity of the person or people who contributed to the invention of the first cryptocurrency.

According to reports, the unknown identities of the BTC inventors might include computer scientist and Bit gold developer Nick Szabo, early Bitcoin contributor Hal Finney, Japanese-American engineer, and physicist Dorian Nakamoto, and cryptographer Adam Back.

Crypto enthusiasts continue to honor Satoshi in several ways, even though nobody knows what their faces look like.

In 2021, Graphisoft Park in Budapest unveiled a bronze statue of Satoshi Nakamoto, who invented Bitcoin. Many crypto users who are fond of Bitcoin suggest Satoshi as a candidate for the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences.

You might be curious to know about the Bitcoin founder, Satoshi Nakamoto. Let us have a deep dive into the identity of Satoshi Nakamoto and find out who are the possible people to be the founder of Bitcoin.

Who Is Satoshi Nakamoto?

The person or people who contributed to the creation of the initial Bitcoin software and published the 2008 paper that popularised the idea of cryptocurrencies are known by the name Satoshi Nakamoto.

Up until 2010, Nakamoto was actively involved in the development of Bitcoin and the blockchain, he has not been seen or heard from since.

Although Nakamoto was not the first to come up with the idea of cryptocurrency, he was one to find a solution to a key issue that stopped the widespread use of cryptocurrencies. The key issue that cryptocurrencies faced was the fact that they could be copied, unlike conventional money.

Satoshi Nakamoto

In 2017, when the first version of the Bitcoin software was being developed, the Satoshi Nakamoto persona seemed to be active. Nakamoto was contacted via email and the other way around. It was impossible to determine who was really behind the name due to the lack of personal and historical information.

However, in 2010, Nakamoto stopped being involved with Bitcoin. A message stating that they had moved on to other things was the last communication anyone had with Nakamoto. It was sent to another crypto developer.

Much speculative activity concerning Nakamoto’s identity has resulted from the inability to put a face to the name, particularly in light of the rise in the quantity, popularity, and notoriety of cryptocurrencies.

What Are The Possible Identities Of Satoshi Nakamoto?

Only a few people have been presented as Satoshi Nakamoto’s identity, and none of them have been fully proven to be him despite countless attempts to do so. Here are the possible identities of Satoshi Nakamoto suggested by some data on the internet.

Newsweek named Dorian Nakamoto as the founder of the currency in March 2014. This was possibly the most well-known attempt to identify the creator of Bitcoin. According to reports, Dorian and Satoshi Nakamoto share several similarities. For instance, both were alleged of Japanese descent and had libertarian views.

Dorian worked in a top-secret defense program after receiving his physics degree from California Polytechnic. As per the reports, Namakoto declared that he was no longer associated with Bitcoin and that he had handed it over to others.

One of the more interesting figures suggested as the identity of Satoshi Nakamoto is Craig Wright. Dr. Wright, a businessman, and scholar from Australia have repeatedly claimed to be Satoshi, going so far as to get engaged in legal disputes over who is the rightful proprietor of the name.

A legal claim against Wright filed by the late David Kleiman’s estate was dismissed by a jury in December 2021. The estate of Keliman claimed that Wright and Kleiman jointly invented Bitcoin. They argued that due to the invention, it was entitled to half of Wright’s purported $1.1 million BTC stash.

Nick Szabo is a computer engineer who has been credited with being the first to introduce the idea of smart contracts in 1996. He developed the concept for Bit Gold, a type of decentralized currency that existed before Bitcoin in 2008.

This concept is comparable to Bitcoin, which uses a network of computers without a central leader to construct a series of bits that are used to verify and validate transactions.

Hal Finney was the first person to receive Bitcoin in a transaction and was engaged in the Bitcoin community before and after it launched. He also lived close to Dorian Nakamoto, who was speculated to have served as Finney’s idea for a pseudonym.
