Bob Lee, the founder of the popular mobile payment service Cash App, was stabbed to death in San Francisco on Tuesday. The tragic incident took place near the San Francisco city center. After he was stabbed, the 43-year-old tech enthusiast was rushed to the hospital but he was later reported dead by the police.
The news about the tragic death of Bob Lee was first confirmed by his employee MobileCoin. Later, Bob Lee’s father also posted information regarding the death of his son, further confirming the news. Bob Lee was working as the Chief Product Officer at Mobile Coin at the time of his death.
There have been no arrests made in the murder case of Bob Lee and the police have not received much information regarding the possible motive or about a suspect in the case
. According to the visuals that were recovered from a CCTV in the nearby area, Bob Lee was spotted walking down a deserted alleyway, and by the looks of the video, Lee was probably looking for help as he was deeply injured.
According to the information shared by the San Francisco Chronicle, Bob Lee was found lying unconscious in the Rincon Hill neighborhood and he had two stab wounds on his chest. Lee received first aid when he was first spotted and then was rushed to the San Francisco General Hospital.
Bob Lee used to live in Florida and he was in San Francisco to take part in a summit. As per some sources, Me Lee stayed back in San Francisco in order to meet up with some of his friends.
