Following the tragic death of the Cash App founder Bob Lee, new security footage received from the area where his stabbed body was found sheds more light on the events that happened after he was attacked.
The tragic event took place early Tuesday and the latest available footage shows Bob Lee stumbling and walking with difficulty on the sidewalks of an apartment building. From the available signs and body language of Lee, he was apparently looking for help as he was badly injured from the stab wound.
The latest video that was published online was received by the Daily Mail and it is speculated that the video is from the security camera of the Portside apartment building. The building is located at 403 Main Street and the visuals obtained show a staggering Bob Lee finally collapsing on the sidewalks in front of the building.
Even though Bob Lee was hurt very badly, he managed to call 911 and ask for help. The police reached Lee six minutes after they received the call and found him at 2:40 am, according to the report of The Standard.
Lee was unconscious when the police found him and he was rushed to the San Francisco General Hospital but the doctors were unable to save him.
Bob Lee was confirmed dead by the doctors and later on the day, the news about his tragic death was confirmed by his family through different social media posts made by his father and brother and also his employees.
Even though it’s days after the incident, the police have not revealed much information regarding the progress of the investigation. There had been no identified suspect or possible reason for the attack on Bob Lee.
While the details about the attack are still a mystery to the public, the newly received footage shows the events that followed after the attack on Lee and has filled in half the blanks related to the case.
Before the details in the footage received by the Daily Mail were made public, The Standard claimed that they have examined different surveillance cameras from the area and they reported Bob Lee approaching a car at Harrison and Main Streets and showing his wounds to the driver, presumably to let him know that he was wounded. But the driver did not help him and left the place immediately.
As per the latest visuals obtained, Lee can be spotted leaning on the hood of a passing car. The car also did not stop but slowed as they saw Bob Lee. After the car passed him, he walked to an entrance on the Portside and fell to the ground.
The video also shows Bob Lee using his phone and walking away with difficulty. The video reviewed by the Daily Mail and The Standard explains different events and it is not clear whether both the videos are the same or different.
The Standard was one of the first news agencies to report the attack on Bob Lee. The report published by The Standard said that called 911 by himself and asked for help stating that he was stabbed and was bleeding out.
As the news became a sensation, quite a number of people came up to speak about the increasing number of crimes in and around San Francisco and also the inability of the police or the concerned officials to control the rising number.

The number of homicides around the area is around 15 in 2023 alone and the numbers are very high in the previous years too. There has also not been much information revealed by the police regarding the investigation.
The officials have not released any information regarding a suspect or the possible reason behind the attack on Bob Lee. The only post that was made by the officials regarding the death of Bob Lee was a video that expressed condolence for Bob Lee’s family on his death.
The death of Bob Lee was a big shock to the world, especially to the tech industry. Many notable personalities have come forward to express their condolences for his tragic death.
Being such a prominent person in the industry, Bob Lee had connections with almost every other major personality in the industry too.
The owner of Twitter and billionaire businessman Elon Musk was one among the notable personalities who have directly contacted the San Francisco District Attorney in light of the event about public security and safety in San Francisco.
Bob Lee was not only the founder of the Cash App but he has also worked for some of the most notable companies in the industry too. Bob Lee used to serve in the position of chief product officer at MobileCoin at the time of his death.
The family, friends, and other close associates of Bob Lee are waiting for the police to reveal the details and progress in the investigation of the tragic case.
