Amazon is all ready to launch its own NFT marketplace, Amazon NFT Marketplace, next month According to data available from internal reports, the date of the launch is thought to be on April 24.
15 NFT collections would be available at the time of launch. Initially, users from the United States of America would be offered the services. Eventually, it would be available to global users.
Recently, the tech platform posted a job opening for the designation Web3 Global Program Manager. The posting demanded that the applicant be eligible to help the platform’s ambition with AWS (Amazon Web Services) customers in the Web3 space.
Amazon NFT Marketplace To Launch Next Month
The job description reads that the AWS Compute, Storage & Storage & Edge Worldwide Specialist Organization seeks a motivated, detail-oriented, data-driven, entrepreneurial Program Manager.
It further read the duties of the applicant which were focusing on creating and overseeing programs and mechanisms and driving Web3 initiatives that would shape the overall future growth of the Web3 business.
Although the tech giant has not yet responded to any questions about the launch. Amazon has not yet verified whether it will be launching the NFT marketplace or not and if yes, whether the launch will come next month or not.
Amazon had previously said that it might come up with a digital asset enterprise by the upcoming spring, which is the now season.
The company was seen making purchases of digital collectibles which could be seen as an effort to not deal with any lack of power players.
What exactly did Amazon buy? It has not been confirmed yet.
However, it is said that some of the purchases were layer 1 blockchains, blockchain-based gaming startups and developers, and digital asset exchanges.
A report from an anonymous source said that the purchase has been focused on blockchain-based gaming and related NFT applications.
According to a recent report, Amazon has in its workshop an under-construction plan to attract customers to play crypto games and enable an option of rewarding the customers with chances to claim free NFTs in the process.
This report is interesting given recent developments in the crypto industry, where many players are offering customers the chance to claim free digital tokens in exchange for playing certain games.
A speculator at the Web3 webspace said that Amazon coming to the platform was expected and was a potential and now the time has made it inevitable that the entry is becoming real finally.
The speculator further said that Amazon has the efficiency to grow and become the top player in the industry and the already existing players in the industry might consider Amaxon as a big competition.
The biggest question existing is whether the NFT initiative should be running on AWS, Amazon Web Services, the Amazon platform exclusively dedicated to web hosting, or on proper Amazon.

A further source revealed that Amazon has been recently studying a lot of other Web3 initiatives as well.
A related source throws light on NFT gaming ventures. It was known that Amazon would be having more than NFT gaming initiatives and that the company was still deciding who to appoint as the leader of the whole NFT marketplace.
If Amazon embarks on a gaming NFT platform, it would not be any difficult as it owns Twitch, the live-streaming gaming platform.
The source further said that Amazon was planning to at least one NFT drop with an artist and does have an advanced Web3 strategy.
A similar source said that the AWS platform has signed a partnership deal with Ava Labs, the creator of Avalanche blockchain
Anyhow, if the platform is launching the digital entities marketplace, a large recruitment drive would be happening beforehand. All the sources agreed on the fact, if a lot of job openings appear on Amazon’s platform, then one can be sure of the fact that the NFT would happen soon.
If the company makes a move to directly get into the Web3 space, it would be considered a milestone for the web space and Amazon would be marking the beginning of a mega journey.
The competitors of Amazon in the field would be OpenSea, Blur, and Magic Eden.
Amazon does hire Web3 developers and engineers but has not yet established dominance in the crypto or blockchain industries.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO), of the platform, Andy Jassy, had earlier said that the company was more than open to selling NFTs and that the company has not closed its doors to cryptocurrencies.
One head start that the company would have is the number of trusted customers it already has. Since Amazon has been leading in its industry, the company has had a large time to earn as many customers as it wants.
Therefore, when it is stepping into the NFT marketplace, Amazon would not have to go anywhere else in search of customers.
