Boogie B Montrell, the artist best known for the movie Into The Park, was shot and murdered on the day before Christmas.
The unauspicious event happened outside a grocery store in the Warehouse district. He was shot more than once at about 4 p.m. as he was sitting in the car parked outside Rouses Supermarket on the 700 block of Baronne Street.
He was known for the movies and TV shows Comedy Bad Boys, Comedy Bad Boys 2020, and the New Orleans Hood History respectively.

Brandon Boogie B Montrell was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, in America. He was raised in Tampa, Florida.
He was a student at Bonnabel High School. He graduated college from Delgado Community College.
Boogie B’s elder brother, Kevin Smith, and his father was diagnosed with AIDS. He lost his father to the disease in 2007 and his brother died by suicide in 2010 due to some economic crises.
Boogie B had also been serving as the President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Montrell Smith Aids Awareness Foundation since the year 2012.

Sherilyn Price, his mother, in an exchange with the media stated that her son was not just the victim of a stray bullet and that she considers the murder making him the victim of decades of neglect that have left New Orleans’ youth with no hope for a future and with no real fear of consequences.
She continued that it was past time for leaders in their city and all over to do their jobs. She further added that it matters who the president was, who the governor was, and who the mayor was.
She then said that leaders create opportunities including the opportunity to live in peace without fear of random violence.
Boogie B was so much more than a comedian. He was an artist and a New Orlean individual who had a significant role in impacting his community and people.
Many of his co-stars expressed grief and condolences via social media profiles.

Ron C, the producer, and Emmy Award-winning comedian addressed Boogie B as his beloved brother and said that he would be thoroughly missed.
He expressed his gratitude to the latter for the great memories that they have shared and continued that he was in anticipation for them to go on the road and watch their dreams come true. Ron C thanked the no-more actor for the support that he had provided for the former and his family.
Mia X, the rapper popular for No Limit Records said that Boogie B was definitely the Santa for her children.
His friends and family are telling in one voice that he has never made an enemy because of anything that he has intentionally done.
Photos of two suspects in the act, recorded in the recording cameras were released by the police authorities. A photo of a blonde woman was also released by Police, as per the reports her name is Dyamonique Smith.
She does not have a suspect status although she is considered someone who might have potential information about the crime.
