Bentley Stancil, age 9, was last seen leaving his house on Tuesday morning on his way to the school bus stop. He is currently believed to be missing, and the Wake County Sheriff’s Office is conducting a search for him.

Bentley, who was walking to his school bus stop at the intersection of Questor Lane and Outrigger Drive, was the subject of an AMBER Alert that was issued soon after 8:30 p.m. According to the sheriff’s office, the boy was not seen boarding the bus.

The sheriff’s office reported that at about ten in the morning, the suspect was observed rushing towards the wooded area that is just across the street from Questor Lane and is located close to the Hardees restaurant on Wendell Boulevard. That was approximately three kilometers away from his house.

The search for Bentley continued for more than a dozen hours later when it was pitch black and frigid outside.

Deputy sheriffs continued their search late Tuesday evening in a swampy area just off Wendell Boulevard. In addition, members of the boy’s family could be heard shouting his name.

The search was expanded to include people with dogs and flashlights. The area was thoroughly searched by deputies in patrol cars equipped with flashing lights.

“There’s a lot of questions I wanted to ask, but the more important thing is just finding him and making sure he comes home,” said Bentley’s father, Brandon Stancil. “The more important thing is just finding him and making sure he comes home.” “It’s one thing for him to run away, but all I care about is that he gets home safe. That sums up the majority of it.

According to Brandon Stancil, Bentley is staying with his aunt for the moment; however, both of his parents were reportedly out in the neighborhood looking for him and wondering where he was.

Brandon Stancil added, “I would like a lot of people to be out here looking,” and he expressed this desire. “I am aware that they are unable to just seize their resources for that purpose, but at the same time, something will need to be sacrificed.”

Bentley is said to be 4-foot-7 in height and weighs between 75 and 80 pounds. He has filthy blonde hair that is cropped short and buzzed close to his head.

He has dark brown eyes and glasses with crimson frames that he always wears.

Bentley was last seen carrying a black school backpack, wearing blue pants, and black and white sneakers. He was also wearing a black hoodie with long sleeves.

If you have any information, please contact the Wake County Sheriff’s Office as soon as possible at the following numbers: (919) 856-6911, 911, or star HP.

Update:

More than a day after he was last seen in Wendell, the young kid who went missing has been located safely. About how he endured a chilly, rainy night, new information has come to light.

Bentley Stancil, age 9, was discovered safe on Wednesday about noon, according to Wake County Sheriff Gerald Baker. Bentley was discovered in a camper that was in a previously searched area, according to the sheriff’s office. After a tip about his whereabouts was received, he was located.

We are happy to inform you that he has been found, Baker added. “He’s secure. He has also been examined.”
