Lauren Boebert was born on December 15, 1986, in Florida. She relocated to Montebello, Colorado, near Denver, and then to Aurora, Colorado, before settling permanently in Rifle, Colorado. Her family relied on welfare when she was a child, and she was forced to drop out of high school to care for her child in 2004. In 2020, she received a GED certificate.

Lauren Boebert’s Early Life And Career

Boebert asserts that she was reared in a Democratic family and that her mother was registered to vote as a Republican in Colorado from 2001 to 2013 and as a Democrat from 2015 until 2020.

After graduating from high school, Boebert obtained a position as an assistant manager at Rifle McDonald’s. In 2007, she began working as a pipeliner as a part of the team that constructs and maintains pipelines and pumping stations.

In 2013, Boebert founded Shooters Grill in Rifle, Colorado, and encouraged servers to carry firearms. She also owned the Smokehouse 1776 and Putters restaurants on the Rifle Creek Golf Course, both of which she sold in 2016. Her restaurant, Shooters Grill, is estimated to have lost $400,000 in 2019 and 2020.

Lauren Boebert’s Personal Life

Lauren Boebert is a born-again Christian who married Jayson in Silt, Colorado. Her spouse established the Boebert consulting firm and made $460,000 in 2019 and $478,800 in 2020.

She stated that she volunteered at a local jail for seven years, however, the logs indicate that she only helped nine times between May 2014 and November 2016. She was arrested for careless driving and operating an unsafe vehicle, but she failed to appear in court. However, she pleaded guilty.

She was recently caught commenting that Jesus could have saved himself if he had an assault gun. Tweets circulated claiming that Beobert did not comprehend the Christian faith.

Lauren Boebert Controversies

Boebert appealed with U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland that he was being too lenient with BLM protestors and Capitol assaults, and warned that BLM would torch communities and ruin businesses. She opposes teaching critical race theory in schools because it would lead students to dislike one another.

But Boebert is a staunch supporter of firearms, which is a major cause for her controversial personality. She asked Speaker Pelosi to uphold the 1967 law exempting members of Congress from carrying firearms and stated that she, too, wants to carry a pistol.

She even posted a video of herself going about the neighborhood with a revolver in a hip holster, but it was later revealed that the gun was fake. Boebert has repeatedly resisted bag inspection and set off metal detectors. She referred to the metal detectors as another ploy by Speaker Pelosi.

It established her as a conspiracy theorist, and she is recognized for her support of the QAnon conspiracy theory. She is also opposed to LGBTQ+ communities because they will encourage the superiority of lesbians and transgender women and deprive cisgender women of chances, particularly in sports and scholarships.

Boebert opposes same-sex marriage and refuses to pursue any alternative to a partnership between a man and a woman. She also presented a measure to prohibit gender-affirming care for kids, citing the exploitation of minors in illegal sexual research.

She is also religiously divisive, particularly against Muslims, and has repeatedly questioned the democratic representative Ilhan Omar. She is so opposed to COVID-19 vaccines that she refers to them as military and needle Nazis.

Lauren Boebert’s Political Career

Beto O’Rourke, a Democratic presidential primary contender, was approached by Boebert during an Aurora town hall meeting in September 2019 when he proposed a ban on AR-15s. She also opposed previous meetings that discussed gun prohibition.

She also coordinated the “We Will Not Comply!” protest against the confiscation of dangerous individuals’ firearms. Numerous far-right organizations were present at the protest. In the congressional elections for Colorado’s 3rd congressional district, she ran against incumbent Scott Tipton.

Boebert has come out loudly against Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez by portraying herself as the progressive representative’s conservative mouthpiece. She is also renowned for endorsing QAnon conspiracy theories, a claim she has often rejected. In 2020, Boebert won the Republican nomination, garnering a great deal of attention from political pundits and national media.

Later, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee noted her opinion that Boebert should be disavowed for her support of QAnon conspiracy theories. She committed to join the Freedom Caucus upon assuming office, becoming the only primary challenger to serve as a U.S. congressman in Colorado in 48 years.

The 2020 elections were won by Boebert, who was able to garner sufficient support in the usually conservative regions of Western Colorado and San Luis Valley while retaining enough Republican votes in the liberal-leaning city of Pueblo.

However, Boebert performed poorly relative to other states. Her campaign was however defiant and appealed to independence, resulting in a massive victory. She reimbursed herself $22,259 for the mileage expenses of her campaign, but ethical experts deemed the statistics to be questionable.

Boebert has been found utilizing reelection campaign cash for personal expenses and has claimed that the expenses were paid in error to the campaign account. After being sworn into Congress, Boebert was appointed to two House committees: the Committee on Budget and the Committee on Natural Resources supporting Indigenous Peoples and Water, Ocean, and Wildlife.

She is also a member of the House Republican Conference and the Second Amendment Caucus, which supports the right to bear guns. Multiple sources assert that she is far-right, yet she vehemently opposes the characterization.

Boebert linked the Capitol Attack to the American Revolutionary War of 1776 and urged the public to remember the following 48 hours. She also opposed Arizona’s votes in an Electoral College vote, citing the state’s voter registration law changes as illegal.

She and her colleague Doug Lamborn were accused by democratic leaders in Colorado of inciting violence prior to the Capitol Attack. She also referred to the attackers as members of the Black Lives Matter movement and George Floyd defenders.
