Earlier, Asheboro police had issued an Amber alert for another missing 2-year-old and a 4-year-old. However, as of Sunday night, the two children who were the subject of an Amber Alert on Sunday afternoon were found to be safe after the man who had taken them met with authorities in Greensboro, according to the police in Asheboro.

The Amber Alert had been issued shortly after 5:55 p.m. on Sunday for a girl aged 4 years old and a boy aged 2 years old who were last seen in the company of a woman and two males wearing black hoodies and ski masks. The children were last seen in the city of Asheboro.

According to a news release issued by the Asheboro Police Department, the event began with a report of a kidnapping that occurred at approximately 3:25 p.m. on Sunday in the 800 block of Occoneechee Avenue in Asheboro.

According to the news release, the children’s mother stated that their father and uncle had taken custody of Londyn Renee Williams, who is four years old, and Deshawn Devone Williams, who is two. According to the Amber Alert, there was also a woman present in the group.

According to the alert, it was possible that they were traveling to Florida in a black 2019 Dodge Durango. The government never distributed any photographs or other visual representations of the children.

According to the news release, Asheboro detectives were successful in contacting the father, Deshawn Devone Williams, who is 25 years old.

According to a press release issued by Greensboro police at 8:35 p.m, Williams had a meeting with Greensboro police, “who confirmed that the children are safe.”

After that, officers from the Asheboro Police Department intended to have a meeting with the father and children in order to wrap up the investigation.

According to the news release, there were no charges filed at that time. Press statements suggest that the inquiry is still going on and is making rapid progress. A little after 11 o’clock on Sunday night, the Amber Alert was deactivated.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Yusef or Ingram is encouraged to call the Dakota County Communication Center at 651-322-2323.
