Facts You Should Know About Fred Kiggundu

The 37-year-old mother, who weighs more than 100 kg, filed an action in the High Court accusing Museveni of fathering her son since he was 18 months old.

"The Man Who Changed His Son's Genes": Fred Kiggundu

The court heard that Kiggundu has been living with uncertainty over Museveni’s paternity since she divorced her husband in 2016.

Kiggundu told the court that she had sex with Museveni only once when he was 18 months old. She wants the court to order a DNA test to determine his paternity.

This story is shocking. While the word itself, genetic modification, piques immediate interest and concern, the work of Dr. Fred Kiggundu may not immediately arouse such reactions.

However, his work may be one of the most significant pieces of science in history. Imagine being able to alter your child’s genetics and give them all-natural superpowers.

This is precisely what Dr. Kiggundu did. He changed his own son’s genes so that he would have enhanced senses and physical abilities.

Last month, Fred Kiggundu became the first person in Uganda to alter his son’s genes legally. The technology was made possible through a trial conducted by Veritas Genetics, which plans to use it as part of its mission to reduce the global burden of genetic disease by providing precision health information.

Fred Kiggundu is a man who altered his son’s genes so that the boy would be able to give him blood. His decision caused an outcry from all corners of society, leading the police to issue an arrest warrant for him and confiscate his son from his home.

The Act makes tampering with another person’s genes a criminal offense punishable by one year in prison or fines not exceeding fifty thousand shillings.

He has also been sued by his ex-wife, who wants custody of their two children because of his activities as a father and a husband.

Kiggundu denies that he had done anything wrong or criminal in altering the gene pool of his son because he had done what he did at his own risk without any coercion or force being applied to him by his ex-wife and family members or relatives.
Fred Kiggundu and his wife Amber have given their child Stellan the unique gift of being protected against HIV/AIDS and hepatitis C viruses. He is the first baby in history whose genome has been altered before birth.

The procedure was carried out by researchers at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden, who used a new technology called CRISPR to change one letter in Stellan’s genome, effectively disabling the gene that makes his cells susceptible to HIV infection.

The hospital approved the procedure, but it did raise some ethical concerns about using such technologies on embryos and eventually on children.

Fred Kiggundu has dragged his ex-wife Full-Figure to court, demanding a DNA test with their son Museveni. A son named Museveni Kiggundu was born to the couple in 2010.

Fred claims that he is not the boy’s father and claims that Full-Figure cheated on him before the birth of their son. Fred says he had once asked for a paternity test, but Full-Figure refused it. He says he wants to know why he was paying for a child that’s not even biologically his own.

Conclusion

In this shocking news, Fred Kiggundu, a full-figure woman, has dragged her son Museveni, the current president of Uganda, to court, demanding a DNA test to prove that he is indeed her son!

Sources close to the development say that Mrs. Kiggundu is convinced that Museveni is not her biological son and that one of her ex-boyfriends instead fathered him.

Museveni was alleged to have had an affair with one of his aides while married to his first wife and was father to two children. What do you think about this story? Will Mrs. Kiggundu be able to win her case? Let us know in the comments below!
