Ron DeSantis is the 46th Governor of Florida who assumed office in January 2019.
Before that, he was a part of the U.S. House of Representatives from Florida’s 6th district and served in the position from 2013 to 2018. He ran for this position against six other candidates and defeated all of them in the election.

The role of running for the role of President comes with multiple challenges for DeSantis. The number one challenge will be running in opposition to Donald Trump, the former American president who is running for the position a second time in the upcoming election.
