Dookie Dash, the skill-based web game that requires NFTs to play and score points was in news just recently for the offered promises of mega rewards.
The exact rewards of the game were not announced but it was said a new major power source would be appearing on the 15th of February 2023.
The requirement that was cited as mandatory was that the gamer would have to score the highest score on the scoreboard in a single run without getting eliminated. Now it is trending that the game is witnessing large-scale cheating on the part of the players.
The gamers were on the high end of their spirit and competing to top the leaderboard. That’s when the news came that among the gamers themselves, there was the presence of users who were using unethical ways and cheat codes to get to the top of the leaderboard.
The leaderboards have been manipulated with scores that are not practical to achieve by not using cheat codes.
What this led to, was the players having to pay booster amounts as high as 4,000 US Dollars to score high points in the game.
Dookie Dash is a skill-based game where the user has to play the game of endless running. The runner would be facing challenges and obstacles as they move further in the game.
The runner would have to collect objects from mid-air while running and the player also has to take care not to crash anywhere. The background of the game is set in a sewer environment similar to that of the simulation of a cartoon.
As per the report from Yuga Labs, it was known that the company has taken necessary steps to stop the use of cheat codes and the manipulation of the leaderboard. It also said that the company had initiated measures to rectify the concern of the fabricated points.
The game was launched earlier through the official handle that Bored Ape Yacht Club has on the social media platform Twitter. The company had made the decision to kick off the game on the 18 of the previous month, January.
In order to play the game, the gamers would have to get access to a Sewer Pass. The Sewer Pass was announced to be opened just the day before the kick-off of the game. Initially, it was said that the last date for the sewer pass claim and the Dookie dash was on Feb 8 and later the date was postponed to Feb 15.
It was instructed by the game that the winner would be decided on the basis of who has had the highest score in a single run, without crashing anywhere, and having picked up the most of the collectibles from the mid-air, on the specific Sewer Pass and the wallet that was liked to the score run.
The highest score was given a definition that the point would be based on the items that the gamer has collected in the run, the obstacles that they have knocked down, and the duration that the gamer survived in the game without losing life or failing.
The sewer passes of all the players would be evaluated on the 15 of February to find the winner. The winner could expect a key that could be used to open a box of prominence filled with mystery. The sewer pass is classified into four based on the four different levels of the game as Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, and Level 4.
Level 1 is the lowest level and Level 4 is the highest level, with Level 2, and Level 3 being the levels in between. Users would start at the lowest level and could soar above the highest levels.
The gamers were also provided with an option to buy power-up packs for 2 monkeys at a rate of 9 US Dollars. In order to validate the pass the user has to have played the game a minimum of one time and have earned more than zero points.
BAYC Bored Ape Yacht Collection, the NFT (non-fungible token) collection built on the Ethereum blockchain, has reported that the unethical scores have been removed from the leaderboard of the game Dookie Dash.
The BAYC tweeted on their official page that they want Dookie Dash as fair as possible. The tweet went on to press on the matter the BAYC would not allow any kind of cheating. It added that the Dookie Dash score that had the tint of manipulation has been officially removed from the leaderboard.
The presence of boosters has also caused rising rage among the other players of the game. Boosters are a group of players that could be found in the video gaming platform who is hired by another player to log into the latter’s account and to make the latter come to the top of the competition by often employing cheat codes or other fraudulent methods.
Adam Hollander, the owner of BAYC said that cheating was apparently rampant. He added that he came across the news that among the top players of Dookie Dash, there were rumors of the presence of paid high scores made using botted code.
He warned everyone to be careful and reminded them that when Yuga Labs run the company’s audits, such malicious passes would be disqualified and they would have a worthless status.

The rule of the game was that the user has to continue the run without crashing anywhere The cheating was done by hacking into the obstacles that as found in the pathway of the run. Due to the hacking into the pathway, the obstacles were no more seemed as obstacles and the gamer could go forward.
Even if they crashed onto sorting it was recorded and it did not appear as a crash and the user was able to go forwards like they have not crashed anywhere and continue the quest. A video featuring the same was shared by Marco Marchesi the CTO of Fabricant, a digital fashion house.
The other frauds that were reported were that, the exploits that would allow the users to force their scores to be posted and dodge through the anti-cheat measures of Yuga Labs.
It was stated to the knowledge of everyone, who has concerned about a fraud becoming the winner that, when someone is playing Dookie Dash, every single mouse movement, every obstacle the gamer comes across or crashes on, every fragment that the gamer collects, and every millisecond of the game is collected and submitted.
The entire run of the gamer would be replayed by the simulator of Yuga on their server. If the run happens to have a mismatch anywhere the entire data would be clogged and would have a status of disqualified.
