Saitama is the protagonist of fictional Japanese series One-punch Man. Saitama in the series is shown as a superhero, who comes from Z-City. One-punch Man is created by One Yusuke Murata.
In the series it is portrayed that Saitama has a hobby of performing heroic deeds, for which he trained hard for three years, and when he learned the art, kept applying the same in daily life, he sort of got bored of it. Saitama attained unmatched power; his single punch could be enough to defeat his enemy, Saitama became invincible.
Bored of his art, Saitama became a mentor to Genos. Saitama trained Genos, who was a cyborg, and Genos wanted to kill another cyborg because the other one destroyed Genos’ family. Thus, Genos wanted to take revenge for which he came to Saitama to get trained for the same.
On the journey with Genos, Saitama learned about the Hero Association, an organization that combats monsters and protects the earth.
Appearance of Saitama
Saitama is said to be 25 year old. He appears to be bald, has ovular face, broad eyes, blunt nose and small lips.
Saitana covers himself in a yellow body hugging attaire, with a black belt on his waist. His belt has gold center piece. Saitama wears red gloves and high rise boots of the same colour. Saitama also wears a long veil, white in colour.
Why is Saitama so Strong?
In the anime, Saitama tells in detail about his source of power. According to Saitama, he achieved immense strength by performing 100 push-ups, 100 squats, 100 sit-ups, and running 10 kilometers daily for about a year. As per Game Rant
However, the actual source of such power of Saitama is still a mystery. Some say, Saitama got his powers on grounds of inspiration from other comic series.
Some speculate that Saitama derives his power from God himself.A factor that attests to this theory is that in the headquarters of Monster Association, Saitama, Oculette, and Flashy Flash, communicated with a divine being through a mysterious cube.
God offered these characters a chance to hold greater powers if they could pass his test. However, they turned down the offer, and later on, the number-one S-Class hero, Blast arrived. God recognizes him and Blast states that he knows God and presently he was searching for these superpower-rich cubes.
Consequently, the God theory suggests that Saitama gained his immense strength by coming into contact with one of these divine cubes or some godly blessing.
