Who Is King Saha?
Mansour Ssemanda, popularly known as King Saha was born in Uganda on September 2, 1989. He is a famous performer of Afro Beat, Zouk, Reggae, and even R&B.
He has been active in the Ugandan music industry since 2016. He is a muslim devout. Even though King Saha comes from a poor family of farmers, he has developed into one of Uganda’s best vocalists in recent years.
King Saha Educational Background
He attended St. Agnes Primary and was a member of the Mugonga church choir’s young singers. He was so passionate about singing and so he earned himself a scholarship by winning a school competition. He is a graduate of business administration from the Buganda Royal Institute.
King Saha Musical Career
Before pursuing a solo career, Saha joined Jose Chameleone’s music Label, Leone Island, as a backup singer and recorded his first tracks, including signal, with producer Didi.
His breakthrough into the music industry came in 2014 when he released the smash track Mulirwana. He made his Coke Studio Africa Debut in 2019 alongside fellow Ugandan Weasel and Ethiopian musician Yared Negu, working with song producer Daddy Andre. This increased his following outside Uganda.
Over the years, Saha has collaborated with several of Uganda’s top Musicians, including Winnie Nwagi, Gravity Omutujju, Spice Diana, Weasel, Navio, Minayo, Mikie Wine, Dj Stuart & Roja, and many others.
A version of Ragdee’s Empeta song recorded about 20 years ago was remixed by King Saha and Sheebah Karungi in 2020. Additionally, he and Ruby published the single BMM Girl which became a smashing success right away.

King Saha has gained the attention of a nationwide audience and a few of his songs have attained global recognition. The Ugandan music industry has nominated him for many awards, including the HiPipo, Rising Star, and the Uganda Entertainment Awards (UEA).
In 2016, he was nominated for the Ugandan Entertainment Awards for Best R&B artist and in the same year he was nominated for HiPipo Awards in the category of Song of the Year. In 2019 and 2020, King Saha has been nominated in different categories of the HiPipo Awards.

Apart from being a popular musician, King Saha is a farmer.in Rakai, he has a farm where he raises maize and maintains a lot of aquaculture.
He also runs a song publishing company named King’s Love. he once helped in the construction of a mosque in Entebbe. He was named the brand ambassador of the multinational telecom company Airtel in 2018.
King Saha Controversies
King Saha, who has in the past advocated on behalf of the NRM party leader, seems to be willing to take a chance by joining the camp of Erias Lukwago. He was also risking his friendship with Chameleone. King Saha was not prepared to support Jose Chameleone in the 2021 election for Kampala Lord Mayor.
After being seen at Erias Lukwago’s campaign kickoff, he announced his stand during a phone interview on Bukedde Radio.
In 2020, King Saha belittled his most recent collaboration made with Nigerian celebrity vocalist Rudeboy. He advised Babe Cool to produce better music.
