Who is Drew Timme?

Who is Drew Timme?

On September 9, 2000, American college basketball player Andrew Matthew Timme was born. In the West Coast Conference (WCC), he is now a player for the Gonzaga Bulldogs. Timme attended J. J. Pearce High School while growing up in Richardson, a suburb of Dallas, Texas.

He put up tremendous numbers in his junior year of high school, averaging 27.7 points, 17.9 rebounds, and 4.3 assists. As a result, he was voted the District 8-6A Most Valuable Player and second-team All-State by the United States Today. 

Timme made his decision to play college basketball at Gonzaga in November of his senior year and was rated as a top-50 prospect in the 2019 class by major recruiting agencies. Prior to his commitment, Timme had also received numerous offers from Texas, Illinois, Alabama, Texas A&M, Michigan State, and Arizona.

At Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington, Drew Timme competes in collegiate basketball for the Gonzaga Bulldogs. He is a power forward/center who came into prominence in the 2021 NCAA Tournament for his impressive performance.

He was a finalist for the Karl Malone Award, which is presented to the best power forward in college basketball, and was chosen to the consensus second team All-American during his sophomore campaign.

Drew Timme’s Parents

Megan and Matt Timme are Drew Timme’s parents. They live in Texas, just to the north of Dallas, but they frequently travel across the nation to see their eldest son Drew play basketball for the Gonzaga Bulldogs. From 1991 until 1995, Matt Timme was the top basketball player at Southern Methodist University. As of January 2017, he works in medical sales.

In addition to having a successful career as the personal assistant director of administrative services at Region 10 ESC, Megan Timme was a tennis player at Stephen F. Austin State University from 1991 to 1995.

At Reeths-Puffer High School in the Muskegon region, Matt Timme started playing basketball. During his time at Reeths-Puffer, he scored a tonne of points and even led the Muskegon area in scoring during his senior year. In his final season with the Rockets, he scored 25.7 points on average and grabbed 17.9 rebounds.

After graduating from high school, Matt played for SMU for four years, averaging 4.6 points and 3.2 rebounds per game, which helped him accumulate 373 points and 263 rebounds over the course of his playing career there. Matt was able to play professionally for a short time in Italy and Finland thanks to his great college basketball career at SMU.

While Megan earned her bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Stephen F. Austin State University in 1995, Matt got his from SMU in psychology. She later enrolled at Texas A&M University-Commerce to complete her MSc in Educational Leadership and Administration degree.

Drew Timme Girlfriend

As of April 2021, Drew has reportedly been dating Lauren Hunt, his high school sweetheart. They may still be together as of 2023, but that is unknown. Together, they went to the prom at their high school.

The duo may be seen attending events together in several photos. There isn’t much information accessible on the course she is pursuing, despite the fact that she now attends Oklahoma State University.

Drew has two siblings that are successful in their various occupations. Younger brother of Drew Timme, Walker Timme presently plays basketball for the McNeese Cowboys men’s basketball team, which represents McNeese State University.

Walker participated in a variety of sports at JJ Pearce High School, including baseball, basketball, football, and soccer. Walker finally made the decision to move forward with Basketball.

Drew’s younger sister Kendall Timme, on the other hand, is still a high school student. She plays basketball and volleyball on the varsity team at JJ Pearce High School in Richardson, Texas.

With the Gonzaga Bulldogs in the NCAA since 2019, skilled basketball player Drew Timme has competed for them. He was a vital component of the team’s successful 2020–2021 season, during which they made it to the NCAA Championship match but lost to Baylor. He went back to Gonzaga for his junior year of basketball in 2021–2022, where he continued to play for the team and improved his game.
