Kody Brown takes the role of a well-wisher in the life of Christine Allred, his ex-wife. He reportedly said he was hopeful that Christine would find love again even if it was not with him.
Kody Brown was talking on the Sunday night special, “Sister Wives: One on One.” He shared what his thoughts were about his previous partner. He opened up that one of his kids with Christine had told him, in a father-child moment that he, Kody, had found his soulmate and the mother wants hers too. Kody was supportive and hoped that she, the mother of his children, would find her soulmate soon enough.
The life of Kody Brown and his four wives was televised as a reality show on American television under the name Sister Wives.
Kody Brown and Christine Brown were engaged in a plural marriage, and she left the arrangement in 2021. Kody had taken three other wives aside from Christine. Kody and Christine had gotten married in 1994 and had been together in happiness and sadness for 25 years.
Christine made the news of her letting him go public via her official Instagram handle. She shared that she had grown apart from him after all those years, and even though it was difficult for her, she had made the decision to leave him. The couple has six children together: the now youngest one is 12 years old, named Truly Brown. Others are 19-year-old Ysabel Brown, 21-year-old Gwendolyn Brown, 24-year-old Paedon Brown, 26-year-old Mykelti Brown, and the eldest, 27-year-old Aspyn Brown.
Christine had stated regarding the parenting of the children that, she would engage in co-parenting with Kody Brown. She had said, back then that she and Kody would continue to be a strong presence in each other’s lives as they parent their beautiful children and support their wonderful family. She had asked for grace and kindness from others as they were navigating through an uncomfortable situation in their lives.

She had hoped that people and the media would give the family the privacy that they need in their lives. She continued to say that she was the first wife to get out of polygyny as she had a feeling that things no longer worked out for her.
However, it did not mean that she was bidding him a final farewell and leaving because they shared children. At the time when she made the decision, her youngest offspring was just 11 years old, and she viewed it as necessary to keep family matters good and amicable because if otherwise, it would have a greater impact on the child later.
Earlier, in the polygyny when the huge family lived together in the Vegas house, Kody had come across the constant unhappiness that Christine was having. He recalled that he had to give her more than what he gave to everyone else in order to keep her happy.
Kody had taken four women as spouses in marriage. He and Christine had gotten together back in 1993 in a spiritual union. They were not legally united. Prior to taking her as his partner he had already taken two other women as his wives. He was united with Meri Barber by the marriage law and with Janelle Schriever, which was a spiritual marriage. Years later in 2010, he took the hand of Robyn Sullivan in a union that was backed up by spirituality.
Kody in 2014 made a move of legally divorcing Meri and following that he made Robyn his legal partner and adopted three of her children that she had from her previous relationship.
According to Meri, the act to divorce and grow apart was made by Kody, not by her. A month before now Janelle had also made the decision to go public about the separation from Kody. She revealed that she had separated herself from him for the past several months.
Currently, he has only one wife, Robyn Brown, to whom he is lawfully wedded. While attending the talk show Kody had let out his mention of mending things with Janelle and bringing her back to the plural marriage and to the family home. He had said that he hopes that he would be able to find a happy and beautiful place with Janelle and that he would be able to reconcile with all of his kids again.
Christine had expressed her concerns about the patriarchal plural marriage and her opinions were acknowledged and uprooted by many of the viewers. She had said that it was very unfair for her to feel the way she felt about Kody and the plural marriage.
And that it was very unfair to Meri and Janelle but what she felt was that he does not have the capacity for the institution of plural marriage. She recalled the conversation that she had with Janelle.
She remembered being sorry for the way she felt, but she felt that. She went on that she just did not have the confidence that Kody was capable anymore. She added that if she or any other wife could not exactly be how Robyn was then she does not have an answer for what that would look like.
Christine had felt that Robyn was the person who Kody considered as his soulmate. This led her to question the choice of being with a man if he has already found his soulmate, even if he was the father of her children.
However, she did not deny the good and happy times and moments that she had shared with him in the early days when their relationship was at its peak. She commented that she had something special with him but things took a turn with the passing of years. She asked in a rhetorical way that if he could not offer her with his help when she needed it the most then why should stay back.
She had a heavy feeling of heartbreak in her chest that she had everything for him in all those years and he could not even do a single trivial thing for her. At the end of the day, why should you, as a person, cross the ocean for someone who would not even jump across the puddle for you?!
