Apple released the latest edition of its iPhone series, the iPhone 14 in September 2022, and is expected to release its next model iPhone 15 in September 2023. Even though it’s almost seven months since the scheduled release, rumors about the popular model have been circulating online.
Being such a popular and looked-forward company, tech enthusiasts are eager to know the new updates and features that Apple is set out to bring through their new model.
Even though there is nothing much revealed about the model as of now officially, it is almost impossible for Apple to keep the details about their new phone completely secret due to the involvement of multiple suppliers.

iPhone 15 – Release Date
Before getting into the alleged changes that we will see in iPhone 15, let’s first talk about the date that the model is expected to hit the market. The latest version of the iPhone series, the iPhone 14 was launched by Apple on September 7 2023 and the model was released on September 16.
Looking back into the history of Apple phones, the company has made the announcement of all their new models in September for almost a decade.
The only exception to the case was in 2020 when they announced a new model in October. This was a different cause as the world was affected by a serious pandemic.
So, keeping in line with history, Apple is expected to release the new model in September this year. Usually, the company announces its new phone almost 10 days before they are made available in the market.
They also usually offer services like pre-booking almost seven days prior to the actual date. So it is expected that the new iPhone 15 will be released in September, most probably between September 6 and September 15.
iPhone 15 – Models
The release of the iPhone in 2022 saw a change in the usual models from Apple. That year, the company decided to kill its popular iPhone mini models and instead brought out the iPhone 15 plus model.
The same trend is expected to be repeated by the company for the new iPhone 15 series. The new model will be available in two screen sizes – a 6.1-inch screen or a 6.7-inch screen.
The company released that the iPhone mini-series was not selling well through their iPhone 12 model but as the company was not able to change their policies, they had to go through with iPhone 13 mini, which eventually stopped as they brought out iPhone 14.
So, available information suggests that the new line for the 15 series will be somewhat similar to the recent one, and the lineup is expected to be iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and finally, iPhone 15 Pro Max.
But recently there had been rumors about a possible new model that could be a part of the iPhone 15 series lineup, which is the iPhone 15 Ultra. As Apple launched its new smartwatch version Apple Watch Ultra recently, there are speculations that there could be a possible iPhone 15 Ultra, ready to be released.
This does not confirm the possibility of a new model but it is also a possible one or maybe it could be the new name for the iPhone 15 Pro Max. Let us wait and see.
iPhone 15 – Design
The newly developed model is set to bring a few changes in terms of display and style. Apple introduced the Dynamic Island feature of iPhone 14 which replaced the infamous notch. So it is expected that all the phones in the 15 series will have a Dynamic island feature.
Coming to the screen size of the phone, it is expected that Apple will not change the standard sizes. They will be using the same 6.1-inch size which was very much preferred by users.
The phone is also said to make use of the new curved bezel design, which will give the new model a look that is similar to the iPhone 11 series but still keeps the display flat.
Looking at the history of change in designs for the Apple phones, the company usually changes their design almost after three generations, the flat screen phones had been around since iPhone 12 which was almost three generations back.
Does this mean that the 15 series will come out with a new look? Many sources claim that Apple will be going back to their rounded edge model for iPhone 15, which can give a much slimmer look to the phone.
The camera bump on the back of the phone is also said to get larger and thicker.

One of the most anticipated and talked about features of the new model is the changer in their charger. Numerous reports suggest that Apple is finally giving up the Lightning port and switching to USB-C instead.

When it comes to iPhone 15, nothing much is known about the possible changes that can come in their camera but is given that there will be an improvement.

This is one of the most talked about downsides of the product and the iPhone 15 is said to make an improvement in this feature. The model is said to be equipped with a new 3nm A17 Bionic chip.

While the company has not revealed anything regarding their price range for the new phone, people have made many speculations, taking the price of the previous phones.
While the iPhone 14 Pro had a price range that started at $999 and went all the way up to $1,599, the new model is also expected to follow a similar price range. This could mean that a basic iPhone 15 pro could tip the $1000 mark.
