The latest updates of the upcoming film Maude v Maude come with some exciting news for film lovers. The movie, which is set to have a stunning cast with Academy Award-winning actress Angelina Jolie and Halle Berry in the lead roles, sparked a bidding war over the weekend from multiple popular studios.
Famous movie studio Warner Bros became the winning studio and the movie is expected to be an action thriller featuring the two popular actresses. From the available information, the upcoming project is described as a Bond vs Bourne-style movie.
The news will be taken over by veteran New Zealand director Roseanne Liang. She is known for some of her best works like Shadow in the Clouds and Avatar: The Last Airbender. Liang was also a co-writer for her movie Shadow in the Cloud and the movie won a People’s Choice Award in 2020.
Another exciting news about the movie is that not only the former Marvel actresses will be playing the lead roles, but they will also be assuming the roles of producers for Maude v Maude.
The two actresses will be handling the role of producers along with the HalleHolly label, which is a production house that is owned by Berry and Holly Jeter. Scott Mosier, who is credited for the works like The Grinch and Mallrats will be handling the script for the movie, and with the success he received from his early world, expectations are sky-high for the upcoming film. The cast is another promising aspect of the film.

Sources say that the duo was extremely aggressive and very competitive in trying to sign the deal for the movie. Sources also confirm that Warner Bros studio closed the deal on the film with a whopping eight-figure winning bid.

Other popular streaming platforms like Netflix and Apple also made strong offers for the film but Warner Bros rose to the top with the huge sum and also with the high profile stars working with the Studio.
The co-studio heads are known for their relentless efforts and it is not the first time that a studio has beaten streaming platforms in some of their best deals. The recent movie deals from Warner Bros show that the studio is not ready to back down from its business anytime soon.
As for the actresses, both of them are currently busy with their already committed work. Angelina Jolie is said to be teaming up with Pablo Larrain for her upcoming movie, which is a biopic based on the life of legendary opera singer Maria Callas.
Callas is considered one of the greatest opera singers ever and Jolie says that she takes the responsibility of playing the character very seriously and that she will give her all to meet the challenges of playing the role.
Joli also recently took up the role of a director for the movie Without Blood which had Salma Hayek and Demian Bichir in the lead roles. As for Halle Berry, she has two movies in store for release this year on Netflix.
The first one is The Mothership, which is a sci-fi movie and the second one is Our Man From Jersey where she appears alongside Mark Wahlberg. She is currently working on Never Let Go by Alex Aja.
