Canadian actor Elliot Page has landed his first-ever fragrance campaign for Gucci and will join A$AP Rocky, the American rapper, and Julia Garner, the Ozark actress.
The three stars decided to be the new faces of Gucci Guilty, the perfume and fragrance line by Gucci, the name Gucci Guilty Eau de Toilette for men and women.
They would join the other faces of the Gucci campaign, such as singers Miley Cyrus, and Harry Styles and actors Ryan Gosling, and Dakota Johnson.
Gucci released a few looks from the shot through their social media handles. On their Instagram page, they shared a close-up image of Page. He was seen wearing a Hawaiian shirt and was looking directly into the camera. His hair covered his forehead and he had a slight crack between his lips, although he was not smiling.
Gucci had released teaser images of Garner and Rocky. Garner was seen wearing a faux fur jacket symbolizing the old-school Hollywood look, and A$AP Rocky was wearing a blouse that had a flower brooch.
The ads featuring Page, Garner, and Rocky are set to be released from March 1 onwards and were shot by Glen Luchford, the noted movie director and photographer from Britain. He was also the one who shot the last Gucci fragrance campaign that starred Jared Leto, the actor, and Lana Del Ray, the singer.
Gucci on their Instagram account named Gucci Beauty wrote that Oscar-nominated actor, director, and producer Elliot Page stars alongside A$AP Rocky and Julia Garner in the new Gucci Guilty Campaign.
Gucci in a press release stated that the three stars personify an ode to self-appearance, love, and friendship in all its forms through a story of tenderness, curiosity, and imagination.
The brand revealed that the faces of Gucci have been selected owing to their bold authenticity.
Garner and A$AP Rocky were present at the 2023 Gucci Fall Winter Show during the Milan Fashion Week, on Feb 24. Rocky was in a Gucci-inspired hairstyle, in which he braided his hair to match the logo of Gucci.
Julia wore a black leather dress with a square neckline and spaghetti straps and paired it with a kitten heel that had a gold embellishment on the toes and a Gucci sling bag.
Rocky appeared in black wide-legged trousers and a black oversized suit. Inside it, he wore an oversized double-breasted pinstripe jacket in navy blue color, a crisp shirt, and a black tie. He was accessorized in a pair of studded earrings and many rigs on his fingers and cap-toe boots
The move is being wide-heartedly welcomed by Page’s fans all over. The brand was acknowledged for its inclusivity.
Page came out of the closet in December 2020 as trans. On this, he tweeted on his official handle that he felt lucky to be writing that. And that he felt lucky to write what he was writing, and to have arrived at that certain place in his life. Previously he went by the name Ellen Page. On coming out he mentioned that his pronouns were he/they and his name was Elliot, going forward.

He continued that he was under an overwhelming feeling of gratefulness for the incredible people who have supported him along the journey. He could not begin to express how remarkable it feels to finally love who he was enough to pursue his authentic self.
He addressed all the trans people who deal with harassment, abuse, self-hate, and the threat of violence each day and said that he loves them and he would everything that he has the power to do to bring changes and make the world a better for them and for all.
He further said that in 2020 alone there have been 40 reported cases of transgender murder and most of the victims were Black and Latinx trans women. He called the political leaders who work to criminalize trans health care and deny the trans right to exist that they have blood on their hands.
He also called out all those who have a massive platform still continuing to spread hatred against the trans community that they have blood-stained hands.
He ended by saying that he was in love with the reality that he was trans and also the fact that he was queer. And that the more he hold himself close and fully embrace his true self and he was able to thrive by dreaming which causes his heart to grow more.

Gucci debuted as a fragrance franchise almost a decade back. In 2010 they launched the feminine fragrance and in 201 the masculine fragrance.
Another fragrance used to do inclusive photoshoots with the presence of transgender personalities was Dior in 2021. They had announced that Jin Xing as the new face of their latest perfume.
