Paul Okoye, popularly known by his stage name Rudeboy is a Nigerian singer, composer, dancer, and performer.
He used to be a member of the trio P-Square with his twin brother Peter Okoye, also known as Mr. P. The brothers decided to disband and decided to pursue their respective solo careers later.

Rudeboy – Early Life And Education
Rudeboy was born as the youngest child in a family of seven on November 18, 1981. Although he was born in Jos, the capital of Nigeria’s Plateau state, he is a native of Anambra State.
He became well-known in the 2000s when he and his twin brother Peter Okoye formed the group P-Square. People always referred to him as the one with the dreadlocks to distinguish him from his twin brother.
Rudeboy and his brother Peter together attended St. Murrumba Secondary School, Nigeria. He then continued his studies at the University of Abuja where he began dancing and singing along with his brother to cover songs written by Michael Jackson, Bobby Brown, and MC Hammer.
Rudeboy – Musical Career
Rudeboy and his brother Peter began the P-Square as an Acapella group, taking inspiration from Michael Jackson’s dancing styles, which they eventually polished and used to schedule shows around Nigeria. Peter Okoye has a vital role in building Rudeboy’s career as a musician.
P-Square released an album in 2005 named Get Squared on the Squared Record Label which contains the songs Busy Body. Their debut album, Last Nite was sponsored by a tobacco-producing firm and earned them a KORA Award Nomination. This song gained a great deal of popularity and was a huge hit both inside and outside the country.
Two years later, they produced a new massively successful album called Game Over with 8 million copies sold. Popular American musicians from around the world appear on this album including Akon in Chop My Money, Rick Ross in Onyinye, and T.I. in Ejeajo.
P-Square has released albums such as Danger in 2009, The invasion in 2011, and Double Trouble in 2014.
Rudeboy and his brother Peter split up in 2017 to pursue individual careers in the music industry. He published his first two solo songs, Fire Fire and Nkenji Keke in 2017.
In 2019, his song Reason With Me received the most views on Youtube in Africa. Rudeboy is the founder of the music publishing company Fire Department Inc established in 2019. In 2021, he published Rudykillus, his debut studio album.

Rudeboy – Personal Life
Rudeboy met Anita Isama, his wife, back in 2004, when he was a student at the University of Abuja. Anita was just 16 then and Rudeboy was already 23. Later they started dating in 2006.
Before the birth of their first child, the couple had no plan to get married. Their son Andre was born in 2013 in Georgia. Probably because of that, Rudeboy proposed to Anita later that year.

In 2014, the couple got officially married. In 2019, the couple welcomed their twins, Nadia and Nathan. Unfortunately, the couple parted ways due to irreconcilable differences with each other.
Rudeboy – Net Worth
Rudeboy and his twin brother Paul Okoye were considered as two of the richest musicians in Nigeria before their split up.
However, after splitting up, Paul Okoye now has a net worth of approximately $60 million and will always be among the richest Nigerian musicians. He owns significant real estate holdings in Nigeria in addition to a mansion in Atlanta, Georgia.
The major source of his income is the music he produces. Apart from that he and his brother were the brand ambassadors of Globacom Telecommunication with their names in customized vehicles. Rudeboy appeared in many advertisements back when the P-Square duo existed.
