GloRilla was born on July 28, 1999, in Memphis, a Frayser district in Tennessee. She completed the fifth grade of school studying from home. She began rapping when she was 16 years old.
GloRilla intended to be a singer when she was younger because she sang in her church choir growing up, but after losing her voice, she changed her mind and started rapping.
She also gave the stage name Big Glo some thought. Her stage name was created with assistance from her cousin.
