Eric Garland was born on April 1, 1974, in Vermont. While Eric Garland is an American citizen, he has Italian roots in his ancestry. The family of Eric Garland migrated to the United States from Avellino, Italy, in 1904. The family then settled in Vermont, where they raised their family.
As a result of his ancestry and his work experience in different countries, Eric Garland is multilingual – meaning he can talk different languages. He speaks English, Spanish, and French.
After completing his basic education, Eric Garland decided to pursue higher education. For that, he enrolled at the University of Vermont in 1992.
He took up International business there and received his bachelor’s degree in the subject in 1995. He also attended George Washington University, where he received his master’s degree in international affairs in 2007.

He has also worked for the American Chamber of Commerce in France, Fletcher Mountain Group, Instrumart, and Coates and Jarrett in his highly successful professional career.
The first job that Garland took up after completing his studies was at the American Chamber of Commerce in France. As soon as he completed his studies, he went overseas and took up the job. He joined the agency as a marketing assistant and he stayed at his job for almost six months.
It was during this time that Garland studied French. After leaving the job in France, Garland took up another job as an international marketing assistant at Instrumart in 1996. Garlan worked at the company for almost a year and then left the job for another opportunity at Fletcher Mountain Group.
The job at Fletcher Mountain Group was a turning point in the career of Eric Garland. He took up the role of a competitive intelligence analyst at the company and served in the position for almost two years.
With the experience that he gathered in the field, Garland moved to Coates and Jarrett, where he was offered the role of a trend analyst. These jobs evoked Garden in realizing his area of interest.

Eric Garland worked in different roles in different companies in his career. Through his experience, he was able to gather a lot of experience and knowledge in the area of interest – Intelligence analysis.
With the gathered knowledge, Garland founded his own company named Competitive Futures Inc., in 2002. It was a few years before he decided to join a master’s degree program. Through his company, Eric Garland offered services to many major companies and top government agencies in their operations.

In 2013, he released a book named The World After Normal: Essay on Culture, Economics, and Society in a Moment of Transformation, and the book released in 2015 was titled Observations from Upper Mexico: Strategic Assessment of American Life with Positively No Solutions.
