Emmanuel Acho was born in 1990 in Dallas. He was assigned the birth name of Emmanuel Chinedum Acho. He was born as one of the four children of Dr. Sonny and Christie Acho and has three siblings. His parents originally members of the Igbo ethnic group in Isuikwuato of Nigeria had immigrated to the United States.
His father, Dr. Sonny Acho is the founder of the Living Hope Christian Ministries, a nonprofit organization that brings doctors and medical professionals to Africa.

Emmanuel Acho: Professional Career
Emmanuel Acho was drafted into the National Football League, by the American professional football team based in Cleveland, the Cleveland Browns in the 2012 NFL draft in the sixth round. He underwent a leg injury and missed the whole of the 2012 season and as a result, was placed in the injured reserve.
In 2013 April Acho got traded into the American football team based in Philadelphia, the Philadelphia Eagles.
Acho was released by the team in 2013 September. In the same month, Emmanuel Acho was assigned to the practice squad of the New York Giants. In the following month, he was signed off from the squad.
Before the end of the 2013 season, he was waived by the Philadelphia Eagles. In his time with the team, he played 14 games and recorded 31 tackles. In 2015 November he was released by the team and became a free agent.

He wrote in the introduction of his book that it was an introduction to those who do not know about it and those who pretend to not know about the history of the black struggles and stains that were carried on by black people for centuries.
He published his second book as a simplified version for young readers in title Uncomfortable Conversations with a Black Boy.
