Even though he is currently a permanent resident of the United States, Alex Mehr was originally born in Iran. Growing up, Alex did not have an easy life.
He spends his childhood in a world without the internet, social media, or any such modern technologies. He grew up reading books and he dreamt about becoming a scientist right from his childhood. It was his education that brought Alex Mehr to the United States.
Alex Mehr’s father was a teacher and being a bright student, Mehr completed his primary education successfully. After completing his basic education, Nehr enrolled at the Sharif University of Technology in Tehran, Iran. He took up mechanical engineering and earned his bachelor’s degree from there.
What brought Alex Mehr to the United States was his master’s degree program. For his master’s degree, Alex Mehr enrolled at the University of Maryland. That was how Alex Mehr ca,e to the United States.
Being an intelligent student, Mehr completed his course successfully and later joined for Ph.D. in mechanical engineering. After completing his Ph.D. Alex Mehr worked at NASA for a time period of two years, from 2005 to 2007.
After completing his work with NASA, Alex Mehr enrolled at Haas School of Business, University of Berkeley to study MBA. Mehr did not complete his course as he dropped out of business school to take care of his business Zoosk Inc.

The first successful business venture of Alex Mehr was Zoosk Inc. Zoosk is an online dating service. It is available in almost 25 languages and in around 80 countries. Zoosk was founded by Alex Mehr along with Shayan Zadeh.
They both worked as the CEO of the company after it was launched in 2007. Both Alex Mehr and Shayan Zadeh met together at the Sharif University of Technology and came up with the idea. Later, they both migrated to the United States for their higher education.
While Zadeh went on to work for Microsoft after college, Mehr worked with NASA on multiple projects. Later, they launched the service together.
The application which is available on both iOs and Android went on to become a huge success.
There were more than 27 million users for the application with a considerable amount of users as paying subscribers. Zoosk even became the number one grossing dating app and one among the top 25 grossing apps on the Apple iOs App store. In 2019, Zoosk was acquired by Spark Network SE.
Another successful venture from Alex Mehr was his innovation named MentorBox. Alex is credited as the co-founder of MentorBox along with Tai Lopez.
MentorBox is a website that aims to provide people with the needed assistance in areas like finance and social life, the service offers different provisions to help people and expand their knowledge.
