KAMPALA | LIFESTYLE UGANDA — GoodLyfe singer Douglas Mayanja alias Weasel has collaborated on a song with Katende Andrew aka Dre Cali titled “Singa omanyi”.

The song features Dre Cali’s sweet voice, which echoes that of Weasel’s longtime singing partner Mowzey Radio (RIP), whose voice added a perfect touch to this songs.
It is also notable that Weasel delivers a moving patois lyrics verse in the song. The collaboration was produced by Ugandan producer Kraizy Beats.
About Dre Cali
Dre Cali, born Katende Andrew, is signed to Ykee Benda’s Mpaka records. He was born in 1995 and started out as a singer two years ago.

Known for his contemporary reggae dancehall, Dre Cali is also a multi-talented singer/songwriter.
He completed his Primary education in 2007 at White Angels Primary School, then joined St Henry’s College Kitovu for O’ level in Masaka in 2011.
Dre Cali later attended Mengo Senior School in Bukesa, finishing his higher education in 2013. He later graduated from Uganda Christian University in Mukono with a Bachelor of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering in 2019.
He rose to fame in October 2019 with the hit reggae song Zigi Zaga which was recorded in Ykee Benda’s Mpaka Records studio.
A few of his other songs are Ebisooka n’ebisembayo (2020), Ekifuba (2020), and Ewaluma. His music is available on Spotify, Deezer, Amazon, and iTunes.
The song finds Dre Cali bringing out his sweet voice, similar quality to that of the late Mowzey Radio, Weasel’s singing partner from 10 years ago.
