A renowned journal in Africa has recognized the Ugandan Rolex as one of the continent’s best culinary choices for the year 2017.
In Uganda, the Rolex is the most popular choice for a small lunch or a treat at any time of the day. The snack, which is a rolled chapatti that contains eggs and veggies (tomatoes, onions, cabbages, carrots, and Pepper), may be purchased at roadside food vending locations for approximately 2,000 Ugandan Shillings.
The snack, which was formerly sold at low prices and was popular among students, is now widely available in high-end places such as supermarkets and restaurants.
CNN named Rolex as the new African fast food with the fastest growth rate in the previous year. The Uganda Tourism Board was inspired to consider the possibility of marketing the meal as a tourism product as a result of the ever-increasing popularity of the snack, especially in the wake of the CNN report.
Rolex was included on a list of tourist goods compiled by the Ministry of Tourism in the year 2016. Godfrey Kiwanda, the state minister for tourism, wildlife, and antiquities in Uganda, made the announcement while wearing a cloth with the colors of the Ugandan flag. He stated that a carnival will be held in Kampala to promote “Rolex” as Uganda’s new tourism product.
