Are you super excited to watch the second season of ‘The White Lotus’? The American comedy-drama anthology television series is all set to hit HBO from 30th October onwards. Mike White, the creator of the series has hinted at The White Lotus Season 3 cast & location.
At the update tease, he also mentioned that for the third series, they might explore a different continent.
The White Lotus Season 3 Cast And Location Update Teased By HBO Show Creator!
It was during a recent red carpet event for The White Lotus Season 2 that creator Mike White shared his thoughts on The White Lotus Season 3 to the ‘Deadline’. Apart from disclosing the plans for the show’s next potential location.
Mike White also opened up his mind regarding who might return in the next season. According to him, it was just the previous day that they turned in their last episode to the network. Hence it is tough to think about the next season.
However, if they did, he would love the idea to shoot the series on an entirely different continent. Mike White went on to add that they already covered Europe and it may be Asia or some other crazy location next time and it would be fun.
The creator also remarked that Jennifer Coolidge was his friend and everyone loved her in the first season. White mentioned that he could not think of going to Italy without Jennifer Coolidge and still prefers to cast her in the next season.
Mike White revealed that if the plan is to go to Japan, he would choose to take Jennifer Coolidge also. He stated that they have worked with so many fun actors since the beginning of the series and the casting would depend on their availability.
The White Lotus Season 3- About Seasons 1 And 2!
The theme of the series revolves around the guests and employees of the White Lotus resort chain, a fictional place of stay. The story develops as the stay of the guests becomes affected by their several dysfunctions. The shooting of the first season took place in Hawaii.
The first series of White Lotus premiered on July 11, 2021. It was a runaway hit and received several critical acclaim and high ratings. At the 74th Primetime Emmy Awards, the first season bagged 10 awards.
Including Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series and creator White clinched the award for Outstanding Writing and Outstanding Directing. The lead characters in Season 1 were Murray Bartlett portraying the character of Armond.
Connie Britton the role of Nicole Mossbacher and Jennifer Coolidge plays the character of Tanya McQuoid. It was the roaring success of Season 1 that prompted the team White Lotus to come up with Season 2.
As per the press release by HBO, The White Lotus Season 2 will be about a different group of vacationers as they spent time at another White Lotus property and stay temporarily among its inmates.
The production of The White Lotus Season 2 was completed towards the end of September 2022 at Italy’s Lumina Studios. It took a month of shooting at Lumina. While filming the second season, creator Mike White focused on the local culture.
With 20% of the dialogues in the Italian language translated into Sicilian by Chiara Nanni, his assistant. The lead characters in Season 2 will be Bert Di Grasso, portrayed by F. Murray Abraham, and Jennifer Coolidge continuing to play the role of Tanya McQuoid.
As in The White Lotus Season 1 and Adam DiMarco donning the role of Albie Di Grasso. Considering the potential storyline for The White Lotus Season 3, the series may take a completely different turn.
