As always, the eccentric billionaire and the founder of Tesla, Elon Musk, and his Tesla staff have made absolutely stunning Holiday Updates this year for their customers.
Tesla is known for the big surprises that they pull out of the bag during the holiday season. According to the update available now, Musk and his team have come out with the biggest update ever for their customers this year. Here is a sneak peek at the updates included in this year’s Holiday Updates.
As we have already heard, the new updates include features like Apple Music and Mahjong and it does not stop there.
Check out the full list to get a better understanding of how big the update is.
- Apple Music
Yes, we are aware of the fact that Tesla’s Bluetooth already allows the user to listen to Apple Music but the new update will put the app on the Tesla screen which is a whole new thing compared to the older way.
With the addition of Apple Music to their entertainment system, Tesla customers will be able to listen to the 100 million songs that are available on Apple’s music platform.
- Mini Music Player
Tesla has also added a customizable mini music player in their new update. What is special about the player is that the player can be dragged around the screen, just like the moveable blind spot camera, which was introduced in one of the recent updates. As per the available information, the player can be placed anywhere on the screen, be it left, right or center.
- Zoom App
The news about the inclusion of the video conferencing app was revealed earlier at Zoomtopia, which is an annual event held by the company, in early November.
The app will not be accessible while driving but can be accessed only when the vehicle is parked. The app will function in a chromeless manner, just like Netflix or YouTube.
- Auto Turn Signals
We are already familiar with Turn Signals that turn off after completing a turn. But the same system does not work on the highways when there is no need to take a turn to change lanes. Now, Tesla has included a new technology that uses the Tesla Vision to detect a change in lameness or merge that will automatically turn off the turn signal.
- Phone Call Transfers
The update regarding transferring phone calls is that Tesla will now ask your permission to transfer our phone calls from your phone to the speakers. The new update also will allow the user to search for their contact from the vehicle rather than scrolling through it.
- Rainbow Road
The feature which was removed on city streets due to the introduction of improved visuals in the FSSD Beta is now coming back through the Holiday Update, as per reports. They are adding the feature with the help of improved FSD visuals.
The feature allows the user to have Rainbow Road even if they are on the highway or city street when autopilot is activated. It is also expected that Tesla will add an option to automatically enable the Rainbow Road Visualization when the car is set on autopilot.
- Speed of the Fan
Sources claim that Tesla is also making a change in its Auto Climate System. It is also expected to change the fan’s speed scale. As of now, the speed scale is displayed on a scale of 1 – 10 and it is believed to change from the number scale to a much simpler scale like low, medium, and high.
- Improved Navigation User Interface.
There will be improvements in the navigation user interface in the Holiday Updates, claim our sources. As opposed to the current navigation UI which displays the route and your ETA and other such details at the top of the screen, the new update will be split into two pieces.
The first piece will remain at the top of the screen and will include details regarding the route you are driving. The second piece will be at the bottom of the screen and the details regarding the time of travel and the details of the destination and such will be displayed on that second screen.

- MyQ Integration
With the help of MyQ, the users will be able to control their garage doors, gates, and lights with the help of Wi-Fi. This feature was only accessible through their smartphones until now but the latest update is now putting the feature in their vehicles.
This will allow Tesla users to open their garage doors and gates just like HomeLink. However, MyQ integration does not come for free but at a price of $179 for a 5-year subscription.
- New Video Games
According to his statements, Musk tries his best to make Tesla an experience and he has said that he wanted the customers to have the most fun they can have in a car in Tesla. Putting this intention of his in front, the new update is set to include at least one new video game in Tesla.
While these are some of the talked about updates that we will see in the new Tesla, chances are high that there will; be more new and exciting features in the latest update. Just like you guys, we are also waiting for the new updates that are expected to be made public in the coming days or weeks.
