Selena Gomez Becomes Most Followed Woman On Instagram Replacing Kylie Jenner

Once again, Selena Gomez reclaimed her spot, beating Kylie Jenner to become the most-followed woman on Instagram.

The internet is going frenzy after Selena Gomez surpassed Kylie Jenner, snatching the label of the most-followed woman on Instagram. The ‘Ice Cream’ singer held the title a few years back but ever since glam star Kylie Jenner reigned over the Gram. seeingly, 2023 is all about the 30-year-old pop megastar.

Leaving the Portuguese football icon, Christiano Ronaldo to clinch the top spot, Selena has amassed 380 million followers on the entertainment platform.

While the Instagram account of the two politico ladies appears to display the exact follower count, it is evident per the source codes that the “Kill Em with Kindness” singer outshines Kylie with nearly extra 0.2 million followers.

Selena officially led with a whopping 380,644,778 followers, Kylie on the other hand is still close to her with 380,425,729 followers.

When the day began today, Selene had a small win over the cosmetic baron, but as the day went on, she clearly became the most followed woman on the platform.

After exceeding Kylie’s follower count, Selena Gomez is currently trending on Twitter. However, it is an irony that Selena considers almost all social media platforms toxic, as she recently revealed that the only app she is using is TikTok.

Apparently, the online backlash she received after her famous breakup with Justin Beiber has made a long-standing impact on her as the actress said in an interview with Vanity Fair that people used to write mean comments under her Instagram posts.

“They write paragraphs that are so mean and specific,” she said, which often led her to cry. Selena further added that she was diagnosed with anxiety at a point. But most importantly, she knew that it was a waste of her time.

Indeed, her team had developed a filter system to section out encouraging comments from her social media accounts. However, she agreed that the comfortable social media app she had was TikTok since it was “less hostile.”

However, she was recently much active on Instagram, but when asked about her sudden step back, Gomez explained that the platform was provided with “information that I didn’t want.”

Evidently, her previous breakup wasn’t that smooth, and it was hard for her “to see any comments, not necessarily about the relationship,” but connecting her views and perspective with “someone else’s,” (supposedly her ex).

Additionally, she added that among the thousands of nice comments, her mind “goes straight to the mean one,” which is why she has arranged a team to put together a few encouraging ones.

On the professional front, Gomez is ultimately doing her best as the icon is set to appear in “Only Murderers In The Building” season 3, along with Martin Short, Paul Rudd, Steve Martin, and Meryl Streep.

Simply put, the world is living in the Gomez age as the “Barney & Friends” alum is showcasing her value in each field, day by day. Now that she has dethroned Jenner on Instagram, it is nearly impossible for another woman to snatch the title from Gomez, who has no signs of stopping.

However, the pop icon and triple-threat entertainer, Arian Grande is right behind Jenner with a staggering 356 million followers on Instagram.

But it is noteworthy that another Kardashian member, Kim Kardashian, is also in the list of the top 10 most followed women on Instagram with 346 million followers.

The other celebrities are Beyonce, Khloe Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, Taylor Swift, Kourtney Kardashian, and Nicky Minaj with 297 million, 295 million, 276 million, 246 million, 213 million, and 211 million respectively.

Although Kardashians are all present on the list, except their momager, Kris, the competition is still sturdy with Gomez leading as the most followed woman on Instagram.
