The Roots is ready to flair up at Philadelphia’s Fairmount Park from June 2nd to 4th of 2023, featuring performances from a string of artists including Ari Lennox, GloRilla, LilUziVert, and others.
The 2023 Roots Picnic has notched the attention once again as the legendary show is returning to Philadalphia’s Mann Center. The three-day entertainment event will open with a concert and a stand-up comedy show by Dave Chappelle. The Roots along with Live Nation Urban have announced the much-awaited lineup for the 2023 grand festival.
Ms. Lauryn Hill, who is planning to celebrate 25 years of The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill will headline the festival, whereas the co-headliner will be the popular Diddy. He is set to perform a fantabulous set backed by The Roots.
Thousands of their fans are thrilled by the news that popped up on social media two days ago. They are eagerly looking forward to meeting their favorites at the Wells Fargo Centre in June.
The organizers on Monday announced the gripping news of The Root’s comeback and said, “We are partnering with Live Nation Urban to bring comedy, music, black culture, and podcasts in (Philadelphia), one of the most beautiful cities in the world.”
They further informed us about the presales of tickets on therootspicnic.com starting from Feb. 21, at 12 pm ET (Yesterday). However, the original sales of the tickets will kick off a little later at 10 am ET today.

Within 24 hours, the Instagram post garnered more than 19, 000 likes and 1,000 plus comments, which is more than enough to make a powerful statement on the event’s popularity.
The show fans have poured in with comments under the post when one said, “Pumped with the roots picnic comeback,” another chimed in, “Dave Chapelle, one of the best artists I have ever seen. Definitely coming to have a look,” and another added, “Already trying to book tickets for me and my friends on The Roots Picnic.”
Although the Roots Picnic has its roots in hip-hop, the festival will still feature a diverse lineup of rap, R&B, and indie alternatives. Apart from musicians, the festival will bring a bunch of superstars like Busta Rhymes, Eve, Roy Ayers, and Ari Lennox.
