Yesterday, on Sunday, May 6th, slay queens and kings from all around the city descended upon the Lugogo Cricket oval to attend the Blankets and Wine event. People gathered early in preparation for a performance that was much anticipated by Heavy K and Fik Fameica, both of whom more than lived up to the expectations of the audience members.
In addition to the slayers, the event was attended by a number of notable figures from the media and musicians, all of whom came to enjoy themselves on a Sunday evening. Despite the fact that the fairly brilliant Kasana hit them in the afternoon hours, the love birds and their friends showed no sign of scurrying away as they continued to sit and have fun.
As soon as night fell, the humble and corporate revellers got wild as they busted out their most wicked dance strokes while simultaneously consuming some alcoholic beverages.

The performances for the evening started off with the Rwandan artist The Ben, who was afterwards followed by Fresh bwoy, also known as Fik Fameica. The evening turned out to be more enjoyable after South African DJ and Producer Heavy K took the stage, as the audience was unable to get enough of the crowd-pleasing songs that he was spinning.
When one thinks about Blankets and Wines, as is the case on any other day, the first thing that springs to mind are the fashionable and attractive women who come to show off whatever they have kept in their purses and closets for a considerable amount of time.
For some of them, we even wonder how long they intended to chose and wear those particular clothing, but for the love of fashion, we stand and respect them.
Aside from the hypnotising performances given by the artists, there were certain queens whom no one could get by without looking back, either due to the way they were dressed or the way they looked. Those queens were impossible to ignore.
At two o’clock in the afternoon, chic babes of every conceivable size, height, and stature could be seen making their way to Lugogo dressed in a wide variety of outfits.
They enlivened the occasion and gave it a splash of colour with their colourful attire, which included revealing shorts, patras, see-through dresses, slacks, crop tops, shirt dresses, and nets, amongst other items.
