The 3Music Awards is a Ghanaian music awards ceremony held annually since 2018 to honor Ghanaian musicians. It is presented by the 3music Network and Media General TV3.
The 2022 edition of the 3Music Awards runs under the theme, ‘More Than Music’, and will celebrate musical accomplishments in multiple categories, including Afropop, hiphop, gospel, and alternative music.
This year’s 3Music Awards theme, More Than Music, upgrades the lauded mantra, Here for the Music, and captures the standard-setting and inclusionary nature of the event, according to 3Media Network CEO Sadiq Abdulai Abu.
The 3Media Networks CEO Sadiq Abdulai Abu said, “More Than Music is an upgrade on the 3Music Awards mantra, Here for the Music, and aptly conveys the higher standards and make-up of the event this year.”
“This year, there will be more segments, more awards, more inclusivity and wider reach. We are putting the spotlight on music and all other auxiliaries that facilitate and enable the success of the art form.”
The 3Music Awards 2022 will feature a live audience following the digital editions over the past two years due to COVID-19 restrictions.
This year, KiDi, the 2021 biggest winner and winner of the ‘coveted Artist of the Year Award’, is seeking to retain that crown against Black Sherif, Celestine Donkor, D-Black, Kuami Eugene, Mr Drew, Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, and Gyakie.

Additionally, entertainment pundit Vida Adutwumwaa Boateng has been appointed as the new spokesperson for the 3Music Awards.
According to the organisers, Vida Adutwumwaa Boateng’s appointment follows the platform’s commitment to promoting and rewarding women who excel in Ghana’s entertainment and arts scene.
Her new position builds on more than a decade of frontline experience, having worked for various Ghanaian media outlets, including the 3Music Awards last year.
