But it is definitely the presence of the best of the best sharpshooters that are more stirring. However, the absence of a few has shaken the world too.

The annual event is preparing itself to witness the emergence of the long-range king among all other competitors.

Due to the unmatched popularity of 3-pointers, the NBA has altered its format a number of times in the past and this year is no exception. The contest involves two extra long shots that will earn three points each.

These Finest Participants Will Be Seen In The NBA 3-Point Contest 2023

Basketball is no more a joke. The game has drastically changed over the past decade and it is more thrilling now. While many are enthusiastic to learn about the impact of 3-point shots, others are ecstatic to see who the 3-point specialists are that are born to turn the contest upside down.

Following is the listicle of all players who will take part in the 3-point competition during the 2023 NBA All-Star Weekend:

  • Tyler Herro, Miami Heat
  • Buddy Hield, Indiana Pacers
  • Lauri Markkanen, Utah Jazz
  • Kevin Huerter, Sacramento Kings
  • Tyrese Haliburton, Indiana Pacers
  • Jayson Tatum, Boston Celtics
  • Anfernee Simons, Portland Trail Blazers
  • Damian Lillard, Portland Trail Blazers

Watching the Celtics and Heat in a match opposite one another is a whole lot of a different mood for their fans and it is mainly because they end up tied when the game is over. If Tatum or Herro outshines the other, then the 2023 3 point-shootout will create history-making one of them crawl to the top of the list with a total of five whopping victories.

Why Are These Players Specifically Chosen For the 3-Point Shots? How Effective Are They?

The NBA has strategically picked up a few skilled 3-point shooters in the league. While some are undefeatable when it comes to earning the highest 3-point shot percentage, others take as many long-distance shots as possible.

Needless to mention that Damian Lillard is a pro distance shooter and Buddy Hield owns the highest 3-point shot percentage.

However, it is informed that during the 2023 NBA All-Star Weekend, the Pacers and Trail Blazers will have two players each. However, the Finnish player Lauri Elias Markkanen will be playing at home.

Although the NBA has cunningly selected some talented players, it has also left behind a few, which is the talk of the town lately.

Which Are The Names Missing From The List Of The 2023 NBA All-Star Weekend?

Although the NBA is growing tremendously, it is noteworthy that a few players who dragged the game to the current elevated status are left gloomy. Various marquee talents are excluded from the list of NBA 3-point contest 2023. But why are they left out?

Certain deserving players are out of the coming NBA All-Star Game due to their respective injuries, meaning, these players are replaced with other players who are selected by Adam Silver, the current NBA Commissioner.

Is There A Possibility For The All-Stars’ Return?
