Luka Doncic has been having an amazing season in the NBA ever since his arrival. He has been selected to the All-Rookie Team and is honored with the Rookie of the Year Award. Despite this Charles Barkley, the panelist and the television analyst for TNT is concerned about the impact on the team as a whole of continuing a Doncic-centric approach.
Barkley thinks that Doncic has to evolve as more of a team player. He reportedly said that Doncic got to learn to play without the ball. He is a great player but he can be better by giving the ball better and contributing more to the team.
According to him, his views are shared by Shaq. He was concerned that if the game went forward the way it is now the team would not be able to win a championship. A game can’t always be about one player and the other guys including Powell also need to play with the ball.
Kenny Smith, Barkley’s co-panelist joined him by commenting similarly. There are also concerns about the single-man lead of Luka Doncic anchoring the team. The TNT took it to their NBA exclusive division Twitter account named and gave out the opinion of Chuck, commonly known name of Charles Barkley. It said that The Mavs would not be able to go any further with the all-Luka approach.
