Regarded as the most significant and prestigious award in the music industry, the Grammys presented by the Recording Academy of the United States recognizes outstanding performances and contributions in the music industry.
The Grammy Awards 2023, the 65th edition of the award will look into the creations from the past years and is held at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
The 2023 edition is being hosted by popular television host Trevor Noah, who also hosted the 63rd and 64th editions of the awards. The nominations for the awards were announced on November 15, 2022.
Apart from the attraction of winning prestigious awards, some artists were also able to make history at the Grammy by breaking some old records and making new ones. Beyonce, one of the most celebrated singers of the current generation was once again the star of the ceremony.
Beyonce received the most nominations at the 65th edition of the ceremony by being nominated in nine different categories. Beyonce was followed by Kendric Lamar who had eight nominations. Artistas like Adele and Brandi Carlie had around seven nominations each.
Along with having the highest number of nominations in this year’s ceremony, Beyonce also made history by making a tie with her husband Jay-Z in being the most nominated artist in the history of Grammys. They both had a total number of 88 nominations.
By securing another win at the ceremony, Beyonce also broke the record of Georg Solti, who is a Hungarian-Britis conductor and became the artist to win the most number of Grammy.
Throughout her very successful music career, Beyonce has won a total of 32 Grammy Awards. Un Verano Sin Ti, the fourth studio album of the Puerto Rican rapper and singer Bad Bunny also made history by becoming the first Spanish-language album to be nominated for Album of the Year.
