It was announced in October by Sony Pictures that lead actor Denzel Washington, his co-star Dakota Fanning, and director Antoine Fuqua are currently filming The Equalizer 3 in Italy. This marks the official start of production on the highly anticipated third installment of The Equalizer franchise.

According to a recent report, there was a drug raid in connection to members of the film’s catering staff, and it would appear that the authorities collected more than one hundred grams of cocaine during the operation.
According to Variety, the aforementioned raid took place on Tuesday. It appears that members of the Italian paramilitary police conducted a search for illegal substances in the resort in Maiori where the crew of Equalizer 3 was staying.
According to stories circulating in the industry, the authorities ultimately seized 120 grams of cocaine, which resulted in the arrest of two individuals working for a catering business.
A further two caterers were arrested on suspicion of being involved in the distribution of drugs and were placed under house arrest at the resort.
It is alleged that another member of the catering crew was discovered to be in possession of a minor item, and as a result, he had his driver’s license revoked as a consequence.
It would appear that the drug bust was initiated as a result of the deadly heart attack that occurred on Monday in the head of the catering service for the production.
According to the news agency, investigators subsequently discovered individual packets of cocaine concealed within his clothing.
In light of this information, the police began to wonder whether or not there was any more drug paraphernalia in the vicinity.
According to reports, law enforcement officials also conducted a search of a tiny port in Maiori, which served as another operational headquarters for the manufacturer.
The film studio, Sony Pictures, has not yet issued a statement addressing the question of whether or not this latest turn of events would have any impact on the production schedule for the movie.
Garbo Produzioni, the firm that is overseeing the physical production in Italy, was contacted out to by Variety, and a spokeswoman for the organization stated that the organization had no comment.
Since the release of the second film in the franchise in 2018, fans of action movies have been eagerly awaiting the announcement of The Equalizer 3, which is the culmination of a dream come true for these fans.
In the same year, Antoine Fuqua broached the subject of the production of a third picture, stating that he would “love” to do so if the opportunity were to present itself.
