In comparison to The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On, Love Is Blind pales in comparison. In the new reality dating series on Netflix, six different couples who are on the fence about getting married put their love to the test by splitting up and going through a trial marriage with someone else. Following a trial period of three weeks with their new “husband” or “wife,” the competitors decide whether or not to go back to their original spouse and consummate their relationship in the traditional manner.
At least, this is how it’s meant to play out in the end. Before moving on to the stage of the trial marriage, Nathan Ruggles popped the question to Lauren Pounds, following in the footsteps of Hunter Parr, who broke their romance in week three by proposing marriage to Alexis Maloney. To what extent, though, do you believe they will actually go through with the wedding? This is what we currently know.
Who Are Lauren Pounds And Nathan Ruggles?
Nate, a real estate entrepreneur in his 30s, is romantically involved with Lauren, also in her 30s and describing herself as a “craft cocktail creator, consumer, and enthusiast.” Recent events have prompted Lauren to comment on the series’ claim on Instagram Stories that she is 26 years old.
What Shocking Events Occurred On The Show?
After being together for more than two and a half years, it was Nate who invited Lauren on the show and made “the ultimatum” proposal. What is their issue? Nate wants babies and Lauren does not. Nevertheless, it was enough for Nate to forget everything about his reproductive goals as he watched fellow competitor Colby Kissinger choose Lauren as his partner for the experiment in marriage.
Therefore, Nate did the only thing that came to his mind, which was to propose. “Through this experience, I’ve realized that I don’t have a family without you,” he told her. “As long as I get to spend the rest of my life with you, that’s all I want for,” she said. The response from Lauren was “Yes, please.”
Are They Still In A Relationship?
The answer is likely to be yes if one is to judge by the contents of their wedding registry on The Knot. The couple has a website dedicated to their nuptials, and it states that the ceremony will take place in Breckenridge, Colorado, on October 1, 2022. The formal occasion, much like their wedding, will not include any of their children.
Yes, after all these years, they are still together! Lauren and Nate explain in the episode devoted to their reunion that they are still engaged and that they sought counselling in order to work through their troubles.
They claim that they have reached an agreement that will allow them to have one child together…at some point in the future. It would appear that they have even found a solution to the problem of having children.
