Legendary quarterback Tom Brady announced his official retirement from the NFL through his social media accounts. This time Brady made the announcement saying that he was retiring ‘for good.’
Tom Brady, considered one of the greatest quarterbacks ever, completed almost 23 seasons in the NFL and he is also a seven-time Super Bowl winner.
During his career, Brady won six Super Bowls when he was a player for the New England Patriots and one when he was a player for Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He completed his last season with the Buccaneers last month.
Tom Brady revealed the news about his retirement through a video, which he posted on his social media accounts. This is the second time that Brady is announcing his retirement from professional football.
On the same day last year, Brady announced his retirement from the NFL but he did not go through with the decision. Around six weeks after announcing his retirement, Brady returned to the game claiming that he had some ‘unfinished business.’
Tom Brady broke the news about his retirement through a video. The video is almost 53 seconds long and Brady has kept it really simple this time. He stressed that he was retiring for good, unlike the previous time, when he returned to the game after announcing his retirement.
Brady recalled the process as hectic which he went through last time while announcing his retirement and that was one of the main reasons that he decided to keep it really simple this time.
In the video, Brady can be seen saying that he made up his mind this morning and decided to “just press record and let you guys know first.”
The 45-year-old football legend seemed so happy and confident about his decision in the video. Rather than putting forward an emotional speech, Brady gave out the news very casually this time.
In the video, he also expressed his gratitude toward many people like his family, friends, his teammates, and also to his competitors.
As the news about Brady’s retirement got popular, many people have come forward with their wishes for the player.
Robert Kraft, the owner of the Patriots said that he was so proud of Tom and that there is no other player in the history of the NFL who has done it well for so long as Brady did it. He also added that Brady was the fiercest competitor that he has ever known.
The decision of Tom Brady to put an end to his career this time seems to have made the player much more happy and content. Rather than delivering the message through a public relations team, Brady delivered the news directly to his fans through a video.
After sharing the video, Brady also then posted a series of snapshots that reflected the long successful 23-year-long journey of his football career. Even though the main highlight of the photos was from his career, some of the pictures also featured his family too.
There were photos of his ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan and also their son Jack, his ex-wife Gisele and their kids Vivian and Benjamin, and also his parents. These snapshots can be seen as a sign of Brady taking all the people who played a major role in his professional and personal life.
His ex-wife Gisele also noted a comment below the video which announced Brady’s retirement. She wished him the very best in his new chapter of life.

Looking at his recent involvements, fans, and close circles speculate that there are two main career choices that Brady will probably choose.
One is his association with FOX Sports. It was reported that Tom Brady signs a 10-year sports analyst deal with FOX Sports in May 2022.
The deal was speculated to be worth $375 million. This means that after stepping down from the people of a player, Brady could be still seen associated with the game through FOX Sports, where he is most likely to take up the role of lead NFL analyst for the network.
