Nawukwaya Hajara Diana, popularly known by the name Spice Diana is a fast-rising Ugandan singer. She started singing at a very young age and she developed her talent into a career in the music industry.

About Spice Diana
Diana was born in 1996 in the Kampala district of Uganda to a single mother, Nantale Beatrice. She is from Uganda’s largest ethnic tribe Baganda. Her mother was forced to marry at a very young age and became pregnant with Diana soon. Diana had spent her childhood shifting from one place to another.
Her mother’s second marriage led the family to shift to Kibuli, later to Nansana and Nakulabye. Nakulabye is where she started her dream of a singing career.
Diana had participated in singing, dancing, and designing competitions since primary school. She was not only good at entertainment but was a top scorer in academics also. She pursued her degree from Makerere University in 2018. She is turning 27 years old in 2023.
Diana was a member of her school’s group of rappers. She was more into rapping at that time and her mom discouraged her by telling her to switch styles. She gradually developed a talent for singing along with the dream of getting into the music industry.
Spice Diana debuted her music career in 2014 with her solo “Onsanula” produced by Fizol of Avenue Records. Her first song won her an award the next year of its release. Dr. Fizol of Avenue Records was her manager from her debut song until she joined the Twinkle Star Management of Emma Carlos.
In 2016, she organized awards to recognize her team and named these awards the Team Spice Diana Awards. The upcoming artists in the entertainment industry performed at the award show with Spice Diana.
Best Songs Of Spice Diana
“Siri Regular” is the latest song of Spice Diana which comes under the genres of Nigerian R&B and Afropop. The song was from the album “Star Gal” which consists of three more songs and was released in May last year.
Her 2020 hit “Best Friend” stayed on the Popnable charts for 102 weeks and reached the first position as the best achievement. It was from the album Kokonya which was in a genre of dance.
The album had another few of her hits such as “Kyuma,” “Kwata Wano,” “Bukete” and “Jangu Ondabe.” “Up Close and Personal” was her other hit which premiered as a live show in 2020. “Jangu Ondabe,” “Ndi Mu Love,” “Bajikona,” and “Omusheshe” was some of the songs from that live show which gained attention globally.
“Bimpe” a 2017 album by Spice Diana included her popular song “Bukete,” “Akabimbi,” “Tuli Kuki,” “Onsanula,” and “Sitoma”
“Marry Me” was a 2021 album by Spice Diana. Later in early 2022, her songs such as “Toli Weka”, ” Bwotyo” and “Yo Love” were released.
“Anti Kale,” “I Miss You,” and “Bukete were some of her all-time hits.
Spice Diana had given the music industry about 74 songs since 2014, which made her attain global attention. She has been nominated for various awards and recognitions.
She won the Zzina Awards in 2018 and 2019 in the category of Female Artist of the year. And in the same year, she was awarded the Abryanz Fashionista Award for Best Stylish Female Artist.
In 2015, she was nominated for the HiPpo Award and in 2019, Africa Entertainment Award nominated her in the category of Africa Artist of the Year.

Spice Diana’s Upcoming Concert
In September last year, the rising star of Uganda revealed that her upcoming performance will take place at Lugogo Cricket Oval on 13th January. The concert will be the focus of the attention of the media and critics to see if she can fill the venue.
Cindy Sanyu made history by becoming the first local woman to fill out the Oval, one of the biggest stadiums in the nation.
Spice Diana has succeeded in building a name for herself in the top tiers of the music industry throughout the years.
She has performed on numerous large stages as the main act for various events, and she is now looking forward to staging the concert this week to commemorate the success of her musical career.
To prevent another incident like the stampede at the Freedom City lately, Ugandan authorities have issued certain guidelines for the people who plan to attend the concert on Friday.
According to the police, the guidelines aim to reduce the life-threatening incidents occurring at the concert and to prevent a repetition of the incident that occurred at Freedom City Mall.
Police added that there must be a mobile hospital and ambulances for emergency casualties. There will be fines for bad parking and kids would not be permitted at the event because the concerts end at midnight. The shows for entertainment for children will end at 6:00 pm and then kids are not allowed in the event.
On the other hand, Spice Diana asserted that there is adequate room for everyone to attend the event, including those with special needs.
