Arguably one of the best performances from Trevor Lawrence, the 2021 No.1 pick executed moves that can only be called perfect and led to the victory of the Jacksonville Jaguars against the Ravens for a winning score of 28-27.
The game which saw the victory of the Jacksonville Jaguars was off to a slow start but the game picked up pace gradually. The events in the third quarter were really exciting as the Jags were put off by a weak offense from their team.
It looked as if the Jas were about to receive their next defeat of the season. But as the third quarter progressed, the game saw a massive comeback from the Jags, which was quite unexpected and ultimately led to their victory over the Ravens.
Trevor Lawrence, the 23-year-old quarterback of the Jacksonville Jaguars had such an important role in leading his team to the comeback and the ultimate victory. Lawrence completed 7-of-9 passes for 91 yards along with a touchdown and a two-point conversion pass which gave the Jags the needed lead, and that too in the final seconds of the game.
The successful efforts made by Trevor Lawrence were more impressive as he did all this with no timeouts left and also after he took a sack earlier in the game. The Ravens missed a chance to own the game after their player Justin Tucker missed a 67-yard field goal as the time ran out.
The game played by Trevor Lawrence and the ones that he showcased in the match is arguably one of the best in the career of the young quarterback. Lawrence was able to complete 78 percent of his passes for 321 yards along with three touchdowns.
Even though he did lose a fumble, Trevor had no interceptions. Even though these numbers are not his best in his career, what makes it more impressive is that Lawrance was not able to achieve all these three marks in a single game, which he did in his last game against the Ravens. The best passer rating of the player is 129.5
The performance by Lawrence this season was satisfactory and can be said that he played well but still, he was not able to lead his team to a winning moment this season. He was able to change that in his week 12 game. Lawrence proved that he was also filling in the expectations set by the fans ad other players about how a quarterback is supposed to save a game – both in the fourth quarter and in game-saving situations.
The final fifteen minutes of the game saw some of the best moves from Lawrance and was the most exciting part of the entire game. In these final fifteen minutes, Trevor was able to lead the Jaguars on three scoring drives along with impressive 15-of-19 passes for 173 yards and also two touchdowns.
The exit of the running back Travis Etienne early from the game owing to a foot injury did not affect the performance of the quarterback and it is impressive that he was able to hit his targets with precision and accuracy. Travis did not make a comeback in the game due to his injury.
Another player of the Jags, Christian Kirk, who was a top target of Lawrence prior o the game, was also kept under close attention by the Ravens. He was only able to finish with just 46 yards on four receptions.
Even though the team was able to achieve a win in their match against the Ravens, it is true that the team has a long way to have their chances for the 2022 postseason. The match also saw the rise of a quarterback who could easily be seen as a huge long-term benefit for the Jags.
The match gave the Jags fans a few reasons to smile as they were able to witness a brilliant performance from their quarterback which ultimately led to their win and even though a small chance, they were able to keep their playoff chances alive.
